I wouldn't exaggerate here, I am just doing small service to very few people who are still using NS2 as their main music creation tool .. my personal bets we are talking here about up to 10 people at max 🤣
I keep trying to like one of the other ones (Grooverider, Loopy, Cubasis), but no success!
There’s still nothing else as linear or intuitive as NS2…🤷♀️

NS2 is one of the only DAW’s I have ever been able to complete an entire song on without stopping playback. The other one was Caustic.
The implementation of most of the features in NS2 beats any other app IMHO.

Anyone test NS2 on 18.7?
I definitely got the furthest/best results on iOS with NS2. If I won a major lottery I would love to set up Matt with a budget to develop a standalone touch screen device based on his brain.
I tried to download the IAPs within NS2 but I get error messages. Any idea why?
those problems with downloading IAP are known problem .. you just need to try it multiple times, ideally one after other (not at all once - i mean download all) ..
Btw i updated to iOS26 beta and NS2 works like a breeze, no issues
All's working fine using iOS 26 on my iPad Pro M1, even downloading IAPs.

Thanks will try. Just upgraded to IOS 26. I'm using hotspot and still got error downloading acoustic IAPs. Will continue trying.
Man, no matter how many times i try Acoustic 1 just goes up to 8-12 percent than error!
Even on my iPhone which has 3 bars of good connection!
NS2 works fine in iOS 18.7 on my iPad Pro (3rd Gen), but I’m leery about trying iOS 26. I don’t doubt that NS2 will work fine in iOS 26, but I worry that other things won’t. I’ll wait a bit to let Apple work out bugs and devs to repair what Apple breaks, like usual.

This was discussed earlier, when NS2 was discontinued. The trick was to re-install the app, and not Restore Purchases. Instead, buy each IAP again and it will download with no charge (because the AppStore knows you already bought it).
Oh, will do that. I did the restore purchase, perhaps that's what's causing all this chaos. Weird thing is that I had already downloaded the Studio Drums and it got auto deleted! And now won't install. . Will delete all and reinstall.
So weird, I reinstalled on my iPad. Went and re-purchased Studio Drums and bam! Went thru perfectly. But when I purchased Acoustic 1, it didn't Auto start download. I had to press the Install button. And it didn't work. Cuts off again. Then, I checked Acoustic 2 and it already said purchased. How weird. Should I have restarted my iPad for it to wipe the temp cashed off perhaps?
When you removed the previous app, did you also "Remove Data"? That's the key to getting a clean install.
I selected to delete app. Shouldn’t that remove all data as well?
By the way, was finally able to download all iAPs except Acoustic 1, but check this out:
While i was trying to download Acoustic 1, for some weird reason, Industrial 2 IAP started to redownload all by itself! Now it shows as not download! But when i go to a project, and try to select different sounds for Obsidian, under IAP, it shows it’s there amd I can select sounds from the Industrial 2 IAP? What could be causing this odd behavior?
Just now it’s trying to redownload Acoustic 2 which was already successfully downloaded!!! Argh pulling last hair out!
I guess so. Older iOS versions offered a choice of deleting app or deleting app and data. That option appears to have vanished.

I'm on IOS 16.70.10.
But why is it trying to re-download some of the IAPs if they're already installed? This is gotta be a bug. The thing is, if I already have the file installed like the Industrial 2, then I'll just ignore it. But it only happens when I'm online of course.
I think it’s more along the lines of 4 new iOS and NS2 still is working. AppStore quirkiness aside.
I would approach it super slow. Maybe close down between loading IAPs. Be patient in tribulation.

My iPhone 16 is on 18.7.1 and NS2 is running as expected. Haven’t updated the iPads yet.
