  • Yes — supports multi-outs

    I think ApeMatrix too.. ?

  • Has anyone managed to save an effect module preset? Manual states this can be done but I can’t find a way to do it. In the effect preset menu have tried swiping, long pressing, etc etc.

  • Wavebox hosts auv3 effects.
    Great app

    I also couldn't manage that

I just press the disk symbol next to the trash and give it a name!?
Oops, still early, was thinking about regular presets….

  • @tristan, I don’t know if this is done at a plugin level or whether it’s up to the host but would it be possible to have Transit 2 remember the chosen theme settings (light/dark) so that it didn’t need to set to dark manually for every new instance? Small detail I know but would make a difference.

Anyone using T2 on a 9th gen iPad?

I really like Warp, and Humanoid and they run very well- I saw some references about high cpu usage- would hate to get it and not be able to use it.

I'm using it in a 2017 iPad Pro and CPU demand seems pretty average so far.

Yo, thanks! That’s the exact same ipad I have and was also curious bout DSP load. I guess ya gotta keep in mind that it’s like running multiple auv3s in series, just all on one screen; gonna be some cpu drain.

    2017 iPad Pro bros! 👊

  • Thank you so much!

    B) The 2017 iPad Pro is still holding up fairly well with modern apps, though I've had mine replaced on the Apple battery replacement scheme 18 months ago and so battery etc are still relatively fresh.

Re Transit 2, I think it maybe helps with keeping DSP requirement down that the effects are relatively bread-and-butter e.g FIlters, compressors, reverbs, pitch shifters etc i.e. there aren't any more exotic effects like granular or spectral processing modules, which would likely need a lot more grunt.

Great take, and ya, besides the inability to update to recent iPadOS and missing out on a few newer apps, this device is a workhorse (love the speaker quality). That said, with ios26 I’m sure we are going to see a whole lotta cooool new apps come out that will force me to a new iPad. But for now? Weeeeee!
(All these cool Mela updates I keep seeing is already tempting me…)

I'm using a 9th gen iPad, runs fine no cpu-issues. I've had 2 crashes, though in the about 3 hours I've messed with it. That won't keep me from using it.

I deeply regret that I wouldn't have bought it at full price, but I wouldn't have known, what I might have missed.

  • Picked this up because everyone is so excited about it. I don't have an idea of how I'll use it.

    I don't have a problem or anything.

I like to modulate it with an LFO, often not by the full amount, for subtle yet interesting movement.

Could always just say nuts to the macro knob/transition aspect and use it as a multi fx unit. $10 for all those fx, of baby audio quality, is a steal! 👍

Most likely what I'll do. Probably use it more in LFO mode I think. Also, using an external LFO adds more possibilities.

The sequencer is neat for creating structure, especially when used subtly. If you set the curve low, then the fx will only kick in near the end of the sequence. An easy way to add a little reverb or delay tail after 4 bars, or to create a low pass duck at the start of a phrase.

The envelope follower is great too---a neat trick is inverting the values on something like a delay, so that when the mix gets loud the delay drops out.

The whole transition marketing is a bit, hmm, not misleading exactly, but it's really just a solid multiFX unit with a big dry-wet knob, and there's a lot you can do that isn't transition related at all.

Imma have to check personal DSP numbers before implementing similar: however a transit 1 user (potentially back in this thread, my apologies for laziness) was talking about defaulting to using it as a single effect (eq for instance) - with 100% chance of wanting to add more standard effects to the chain eventually -- so don't open a new instance of a plugin, just add a new one in transit

Not saying This Is The Way at all, but a very intriguing use case and an interesting way to force limitations

(Been wanting to put together a good FX chain for live performances, similar to 808... But the limitless plugin potential certainly presents its own analysis paralysis. This could be a great starting point towards that

Turnado and koala fx were my main focuses, but I didn't like the sounds they were producing. Could VERY well have been my inexperienced ears at the time too... Been a minute now that I think about it. Revisiting, here I come! 😅)

These usecases sound fab, will have a go, thanks 🤙

  • Imagine being able to use this inside Koala!

Wait, maybe I can do that with multi-outs in AUM…

  • Saving module presets was removed on iOS already in V1, still works on desktop (sucks to be minority).

Anyway, having a lot of fun and it sounds great. Some extra fun can be made with an external LFO altering the internal modulations with some extra variation, I noticed when you use an external LFO it makes it move through the whole spectrum i.e pink and blue which can not be done with internal alone. Hopefully that make sense.

You can open it in dawnbeat, sort of a koala. And in wavebox

Whoa, T2 with that new FAC Polyflo is recipe for pure modulation madness!

Each knob has a start and an end parameter, so if you modulate them separately you can create effects that invert. Pretty cool.

  • Yesssss! Finally!
    instabuy!

I have a 9th gen. All I've done is run through a bunch of the presets with Transit 2 on the master of a fairly heavy project. I didn't get any dropouts, but I also didn't watch the CPU meter at all.

Polyflo came to mind for me too. I still need to get a good setup going with Polyflo and this seems like a good candidate.

I don’t have v1, and wouldn’t have even looked at v2 at the full price, as I already have a ridiculous amount of fx apps - including Turnado, which has a similar vibe.

But for a tenner I’m in

    Same here.
