metronome during recording
(translate.google.com)
Hello everyone! Maybe this question has already been raised, but I haven't found it. I also used the search, but it didn't give any results. I watched a bunch of videos, but I didn't see the information I needed anywhere.
Please help me!!!
It's been a month since I've been trying to beat the metronome in loopy pro.
I came to loopy from boss rc-505 and am trying to set up the same interaction scheme. As a result, I have several options:
- when you click on the record, the countdown starts, but the metronome is silent during recording.
- everything is working as it should, but you need to run the ENTIRE project first, and this is not satisfactory, because there are pre-prepared loops that must first be silent.
- the metronome itself works chaotically. I set it to turn off via the midi controller, after the first shutdown it does not turn back on until I force it to start by clicking on the screen.
What I want
By pressing start, the metronome starts in the midi controller, makes two bars beforehand, then recording begins with the metronome turned on, and the metronome turns off at the end of recording. (I saw and even selected the "start only when recording" menu item, but it only counts down, and the metronome stops recording)
thanks in advance ![]()

@Zuher :
Fwiw, I recommend asking questions or asking for help early in the process if you can’t figure something out. We are happy to help.

Where did you see this? There is a “count-in only” option. When it is on, the metronome is only on during count-ins not during recording.
I think what you want is to have the metronome set to always on (which means when the metronome is turned on, it sounds) AND to turn it on when you trigger recording and have a follow action that turns it off when recording ends.

I don’t know what this means. Can you explain?
You said: “ the metronome itself works chaotically. I set it to turn off via the midi controller, after the first shutdown”
When you close a project, the metronome state is saved. So if it was off when you closed it, it will be off when you reopen. You can add a load project follow action to ensure your preferred setting when you reopen a project.
