iBassist doesn't show as Inter-App audio input in Loopy Pro ?
Hello,
I recently purchased iBassist to use in Loopy Pro.
Because some features are not yet available in the AUV3 version, I need to load it in Loopy as an Inter-App audio input but can't see it in the list of my apps...
I also have Pop Drummer, which is an AUV3 Lumbeat app too, and it shows up well in the list and can be loaded as an Inter-App input. But not iBassist why ?
Can someone help on this please ?
Thanks for your replies

iBassist doesn’t appear to be an IAA app.
I’m not sure if iBassist has IAA - I only see AUv3 listed on the app store page. One workaround though that works in AUM (and should work in Loopy?) is to run iBassist standalone and as an AUv3, send the MIDI to AUM, and run that into iBassist as a sound module in the host (AUM).
Remember that iBassist standalone will be sending MIDI notes on channel 2, and accompaniment chords on channels 3 and 4. If you don’t need iBassist as a sound module, you can route the MIDI directly from standalone iBassist to whatever plugins you need in your host. Hope that makes sense. And hopefully it transfers to Loopy.
OK it's that simple... so Pop Drummer is but iBassist isn't
Thanks @espiegel123
Thank you very much @FizzyLizzy27 that's a great idea...
I will try that and tell you if that works ;-)
Out of curiosity, what feature in the standalone is missing from the AU?
Sending and receiving grooves from other Lumbeat drummers is the main one I can think of.
The "make drums" feature that makes the drum grooves match the line basses...
I still would love to be able to send drums to Pop Drummer.
I finally used midi control to sync the live pads of iBassist and the ones of Pop Drummer.
First I created and mapped all the live pads for each of my songs in the 2 plugins (fastidious), and then I created a bunch of radio buttons in Loopy pro that send midi to them (PC don't seem to work, I had to use Notes). Each button sends a note to iBassist and a note to Pop Drummer (on 2 different midi channels) to change the Live pads.
Tomorrow I'll try to find how to load the "Live Pads Set" of each song, in order to recall the Live pads configuration of each song on both iBassist and Pop Drummer...
I wish I could use Loopy presets (little folder icon on top of the plugin's window) instead of using midi
but the last few times I used the presets it crashed iBassist
We'll see tomorrow...
Wonder if this can come to the Auv3 anytime soon?
I get the feeling the consensus of the dev/community is to focus on bringing AUv3 functionality to other Lumbeat drummers before much more work is put into sending grooves. Don’t take that as anything official beyond a poll not long after the time of release. I’d like to see AUv3 communication between the current AUv3 apps really nailed down before bringing more in.
Yes, I think the days of ‘programming’ beats are over…
Wish there was ONE Lumbeat Drum Auv3 with all the kits (Future Drummer is all I need), just for the sake of moving on… so much to explore with The Lumbeat environment…
Yes instead of converting any app in AUV3, a big AUV3 host with every Lumbeat apps in it would be killer !
By the way, I have another question about iBassist...
Have you found any "hidden" midi controls ?
It would be so useful for me to have the "END" or the "FILL>" buttons controlled by midi
