Could be many things, but are you getting any sound? The reason I ask is that, I had an incident recently when loading a certain plugin in Logic, where my audio interface disconnected after loading the plugin. I've never had it happen before or since and no idea why it happened or even if it had anything to do with loading that particular plugin.
Just a thought. Could be all sorts of things happening and the only thing to do is narrow down what it could be by trial and error. If you haven't already, try a new project. Try a different DAW. Try the plugin on its own.
I'm quite new to Mac use for music though, so maybe someone else here can be of more help
Thanks. Yes, new project and I am getting sound from another track, just nothing from Skaka channel.
No audio interface attached to the Mac in order to simplify things...Anyone else have any thoughts on what I might try? Regardless, I'll keep tinkering
Are you triggering Skaka? If I recall correctly, you need to send it midi notes to trigger its patterns.
@espiegel123, that was it, I thought it would generate it's own default triggers if no source provided, but not the case...Problem solved. Thanks!
@espiegel123, and any others using Skaka, what do you typically use as midi source for Skaka (or similar plugin you might have) if you want to cycle through some different rhythms quickly in order to experiment ... I can certainly just point one of the project's midi keyboard tracks at it as a source, but thinking about a quick way to cycle through some rhythm options when using this type of plugin and how people approach this typically...Thanks for any thoughts
