"The Velvet Groove" (Smooth Disco Funk thing done in FLSM)
My ride dropped me off at my gig a bit too early, so I got to work on a new track while waiting to go up and play piano. I felt like making some sort of Disco groove today. While my ride took me home, I finished up the piece. Once home in a quiet environment, I adjusted some of the levels of the instruments, mastered it in Cubasis 3, and voila!
The instruments are mostly from DWSampler presets, although I couldn't resist sticking a Supersaw pad in there somewhere. 😂 Kinda dumb, I know. Most of the drums are from various Samples From Mars packs. $89 for all the drum packs is a bloody bargain imho, especially since I use the Samples From Mars packs religiously inside of Auxy Studio. The only drum sample that didn't come from Samples From Mars is the reverb kick. That's from Deadmau5's XFer pack.
What I like about FLSM is the fact that you can lay down the notes for an instrument, select all, and humanise them. Quite handy to give the sound a bit more of a groove than just something entirely robotic.
Hope you all enjoy this little piece I made.

Just a bump. Hope to hear some comments, lol. 😂
Bump again.
EDIT: I can't understand why nobody has commented yet.
Pretty damn good ! I gotta admit parts remind me of some stuff I did in the original MTV Music Generator aka Music so it brought back some happy memories for me
Feels like a remixed track from an unreleased beach level in the first Sonic Adventure game for the Dreamcast
Slightly ethereal with a driving force, but modern ducking and bass techniques
Smooth for certain!
That's awesome! Yeah, MTV Music Generator was a great software for its time.
Nice! Love this. ❤️
