Anyone use the MPK Mini mk4?

So I've always used a cheap midi keyboard on my iPad and it worked fine but the keys kinda stopped registering so I figured I would upgrade to a known brand with the MPK Mini mk4.

The keyboard feels great but I've noticed on my M3 iPad Air with Logic Pro that the velocity isn't registering. All the keys are registering at 50 velocity no matter how softly or hard I press them.

This is an out-of-the-box setup so I'm wondering what I could have done wrong.

Just to clarify, do you mean the MPK mini Mk3 or the MPK Mini IV.

  • The IV. The new one. Trying this out more it may have been that the synth patches I was using did not have keyboard velocity sensitivity.

Launch ShowMidi, a great free midi monitor, as a standalone to see what the keyboard sends
