IK Multimedia iRig Stream and some other IK hardware not working with iOS26 and/or iPadOS26 (SOLVED)

IK is having issues with some of its hardware audio interfaces connected to iOS 26, a bunch of people have reacted on different forums and on the IK user forum.

My iRig Stream won’t pickup sound together with my iPhone 14 since upgrading to iOS 26 with neither the Camera app, IK ’s own Recorder app or Blackmagic. It has worked before like a charm, is properly connected but now…. Nothing, just the blue light on top. No indications of sound regardless of dial settings, it’s like it is not picking up any sound at all with the three apps.

Sound comes through though when using Audioshare, but no indications on the iRig Stream to be able to set the right level. I have ofc submitted a ticket to their support, waiting for an answer.

Anyone else?

  • I use my irig pro duo as my daily driver. That thing has been nothing but reliable for me since day one. I’m using it both through a powered usb hub going into my camera adapter and also plugged directly into the USB-C port.

    Yeah, same with my Stream, it’s really been reliable.

  • I've had practically zero issues with my audio-interfaces with iOS/iPadOS26.

    Do check the control center that correct devices are selected for the app that is being used.
    These settings are remembered per app when the devices are connected...

    Well, iPadOS 26. I guess it may be an iOS specific issue.

  • I guess my original iRig doesn’t work with iOS 26 either but that’s more from the lack of headphone jack than the os lol.

    Just tried recording on my iPad instead with iPad OS26, and it works. Seems like it is iOS26 on my iPhone that is the issue. Can anyone else try it out to verify? Check if recording works on iPadOS26 on iPad, but not on iOS26 on iPhone?

    Is anyone from IK still active here?

  • The only IK Audio device I have is the original iRig Mic HD and it works properly on both my iPhone 16 (iOS26.1) and 11" M1 iPadPro (iPadOS26.1).

    I’d test it on my iPhone 12 but my port doesn’t work. I’m still amazed I’ve used this phone for a couple years now portless.

    No prob, thanks. The LPF is kind of unique online, and we are used to talking to companies and developers directly. Just having to wait for a ”regular” support to get back to me is annoying, when the only thing I want is to help myself and them to get their stuff to work…🤪.

    It might be annoying but it makes them more aware. Their support team is probably smaller than it should ideally be.

  • I may have stumbled upon the solution online and it worked for me on my iPhone 14 with iOS 26.1.

    Go to Settings in your iPhone > Sounds haptics/vibrations. At the end of this list is Headphone Security > USB/Lightning accessories > Forget all USB/Lightning accessories. Select this, unplug your iRig Stream and plug it in again. Hopefully this can help someone, let us all know if this works for you too or not.
