Help downloading to Cubasis3 (solved)

Sorry, don’t see a support category anymore?
I’m having difficulty downloading an mp3 track to Cubasis 3 from Dropbox.
When I use share to device on Dropbox it shifts to CB3 and the screen jumps, as usual, but then I can’t find the track in audio files or mixdown. Never used to be a problem.

Dropbox will share to Notes, do I think the issue is with CB3. Help, pls! Thanks!

Edit: Lol, like most problems, sometimes you need yo give it a rest! This morning I thought to reboot my iPad Pro. All fixed! The magic of the reboot! (there was a recent update)

  • Good to hear from you Mike. Been a while. How are things on your end? I have a girlfriend now (albeit a long distance one), had a fruitful creative month in October (musically and artistically), and I'm stuck in a creative rut both in music and in art.

    Anyways, I'm sure others will help address this problem you're facing, and I'll tag @LFS so his eyes are on this as well.

    @LinearLineman did you check in Media > Audio > My Audio Files in Cubasis? Cubasis silently imported there when I tried with an mp3 file.

    Hi,
    After downloading the mp3 in Dropbox, tap Save To Device and save it in a folder in your Files app, whilst you are in the Files app, drag the bottom right corner and shrink the screen to 1/4 size, open Cubasis 3, choose a empty audio track, now slowly drag the bottom of the screen to access the app bar and tap on Files, it will open on top of Cubasis, scroll down the folders until you come to your saved folder, open it, press on the mp3 and drag it onto the audio track, works every time 👍

    Btw, there is a Cubasis forum which is accessible from the Cubasis launch screen, you will find lots of help there 🍻

    I just tried using Import > Files > mp3 > Open, I then checked (in Cubasis) Audio > My Audio Files and the mp3 was there, not sure why you are having problems 🤔

    Hi all,

    If a problem arises, it’s always a good idea to run through this procedure:

    • Close all apps, including Cubasis.
    • Fully shut down your iPhone or iPad (power it off).
    • Wait a moment, then restart your iPhone/iPad.
    • Launch Cubasis and load an empty project.

    Issues can be caused by a faulty AUv3 plug-in or other issues unrelated to Cubasis. Therefore, it is o great help to test things step by step to identify what works and when problems occur (e.g., if an issue appears after loading a specific plug-in).

    Most importantly, when reporting bugs, please include a detailed step-by-step description and/or a video showing the steps that lead to the issue. This helps our engineering team evaluate the problem effectively.

    P.S.: If for any reason you decide to delete and reinstall Cubasis, never (!!!) just delete the app, as this will cause you to lose all your files and projects. Instead, the first thing you should do is create a proper backup of all your Cubasis-related files and projects - which is something we recommend doing regularly anyway - to prevent data loss.
