SugarBytes new app TransFigure!
SugarBytes claims this isn’t just another multi-effect. 🤭
“Transfigure isn’t just another multi-effect. It’s a sound design tool that creates something entirely new and unrelated to your original audio.
With powerful modulation and an XY pad, you can intuitively shape sound in truly creative ways.
Subtle tweaks. Glitchy mayhem. Transfigure is your playground.”

An hour and a half long video walkthrough, for those interested.

Right away it looks pretty similar to Turnado. The spectral stuff looks kinda cool tho, thanks for the vid link @Luxthor
(YouTube recommended another vid for a SB plug-in called Obscurium. THAT looks bonkers, anyone know why it never hit iOS?)
Looks cool, I'm gonna guess this is not coming to iOS, like most recent Sugar Bytes fx, but hopefully I'm wrong about that!
@Gavinski Doesnt the video show a iPad and iPhone as part of the animation?

I requested this years ago but from memory they said the GUI wouldn't work on iOS.
Shame, looks like it would fit well on iPad with all the sliders and whathaveyou. Oh well!
As my grandma always used to say, can’t means you won’t and won’t means you’re lazy 😅😂
It's a real shame - definitely top 3 in my wishlist for apps to be ported to iOS.
I just wrote to them to inquire
Thanks @Telstar5 ! Let us know what they say, always interested in SugarBytes stuf..👍
@Krupa lol! Im gona have to use that one! 😺
The title suggests it’s an app.
still waiting for their Grandpa on iOS:(((
After watching the teaser video: Transit2 by Baby Audio can probably cure you from a lot of anxiety and longing, in fact you may even forget all about it.
This was my exact conclusion after watching the short video. I didn't invest in the long video yet. Maybe someone who has both Transit2 and Transfigure can comment on how much they overlap. I think Transit2 is a ridiculously good value at the current $10 sale price.
From what I've seen and read so far they're very different. Transfigure has all this spectral and resynthesis stuff going on, different app from Transit 2. That said, Black Friday sales seems like a terrible time to launch a new plugin with a pretty high price tag.
Agreed, watched the long one (admittedly dipped in and out, that’s a lotta tutorial time haha). It struck me as having more in common with Humanoid than T2 with its use of spectral stuff, maybe mixed with FilterLab? Definitely a cool plug-in, hope it makes it to iOS so I can try it out!
@Gavinski @Squishy thanks, both, for weighing in. I'll go find the spectral stuff in that longer video.
Yup ... Transfigure and Transit 2 look like very different beasts. Beyond being multi-effect plugins there's not a lot in common, and they have a very different focus.
Transit 2 is much more similar to Turnado in concept and purpose, but even then they are capable of quite different results.
Will definitely keep my eye on it for sales as I do like spectral stuff and CS Spectral sadly crapped the canvas a couple updates ago.
After a little more time spent on testing the Transfigure, I got to the conclusion that this tool is way more than just a multi-effect. It’s completely in a different category, and it’s closer to an instrument and resynthesis tool than anything else. They call this multi-effect probably for marketing reasons alone.
Don’t even try to compare this with Turnado or Transit, the closest tool to Transfigure is Logic Pro PhatFX, but only in UI and part of the functionality.
Only at the bottom of the chain can you insert two of the six generic effects: Delay, Phaser, Filter, Reverb, Looper, and Capture.
Based on the videos, it reminds me of Sparkle - Cross-Synthesis by apeSoft more than anything else, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sparkle-cross-synthesis/id818477094
I’m on the fence. I enjoy messing about with SB apps, but their unique sound doesn’t tend to find it’s way into my songs.
I find the save and import functions of sparkle very confusing
It works but I dont know how
It's a bit like Yonac's Roxsyn in some respects, but with more effects. I tested it out on desktop and didn't like what I was hearing. Deleted. I'm sure others will find a use for it.
I skipped through parts of the video, but this looks like it’s a good update for some of their earlier plugins, but with some good automation options that were missing from the earlier ones.
Fantastic walkthrough from Doug! 🤩

“I don’t know how it works, so I’m not going to pretend I do.” 🤣
I love Doug’s honest approach to everything.
Yeah, that’s why we love Doug. 🤗
SugarBytes just posted another short demo:
Bought it last night. Made some terrible sounding drum loops, and processed them to see what I could do to improve them. Holy crap this thing can work magic!
