Lumbeat Pop Drummer - no midi clock?
Do any Lumbeat users know why Pop Drummer has no MIDI clock settings in either version, IAA or Auv3?
Comments
It follows the host tempo. Is that not the same thing, or at least accomplishes the same thing?
Fwiw, following host tempo is much tighter sync than midi clock
This is in standalone mode
tbh , the other question I posed on another thread is a bit more important
- but alas no replies
I just responded to the other thread ... but you won't like it. Sorry.
For the why, you can ask the developer on his Discord.
My guess is that implementing the newer sync method for AU plugins on top of everything else might have made it seem like a bit of a waste of time to do the clock sync as well. One can only invest so much time into something that might not be a good return on a big time investment.
But I'm just thinking of it in terms of if I was in his shoes.
All g, was curious is all really....still figuring a live rig setup
FWIW, my impression based on support cases I’ve handled, Link had been solid in the apps and midi clock less so.
