Any apps for realistic electric bass sounds controlled by a MIDI keyboard?
I'm looking for an app or synth that can produce a fat, organic electric bass sound that sounds authentic and can be played from a MIDI keyboard to create electronic post-rock sounds.
I alredy have the ibassist app, which has some very good sounds, exactly what I'm looking for, but it can't be played directly from a MIDI controller.
Any ideas for an AUv3 app or synth that's worth buying for this purpose?

iBassist can be played from a midi keyboard. Turn on the
Sound Moduleswitch.Bassalicious 2 has the widest range of basses I know of. Everything from acoustic to classic electronic, and it can be used as a complete bass synth to make your own patches too.
iFretless bass is excellent.
btw, @yosoychema - there's nothing specific to Loopy Pro about your question. All hosts are basically the same in that regard. You might want to edit your thread title to remove the reference to Loopy Pro in order to get more people offering recommendations.
BeatHawk has an excellent Total Bass pack with lots of great basses.
Decent Sampler has Short Scale Bass and Dualo Legacy / Acoustic / Bass / Fretless… both free.
Is there much difference between Bassalicious standalone and Bassalicious IAP packs for PureSynth?

I have iBassist, iFretless, and Madrid as the three go-to acoustic basses now. Still can’t say I’ve been crazy about any of them but iFretless is the one I use most. I need to stop being lazy and just get a new set of bass strings to record the real thing.
They're the same thing. If you have PureSynth and not Bassalicious 2, then I'd get the IAP.
Any preferences re: Bassalicious Expansion 1 vs. 2 within Pure Synth?
They’re the same thing. I happen to have bought Bassalicious 2 before PureSynth so I use B2 when I think “bass” but it’s only because I have it. If I didn’t, I’d just use the PureSynth IAP.
There’s no advantage of one over the other.
Why then is Bassalicious 2 higher priced/updated? More presets, larger size, etc? Specifically 1 vs. 2 as IAPs within Pure Synth?
They released "Bassalicious" originally. Then Bassalicious 2 came out. Bassalicious had 60 presets. Bassalicious 2 had 400 plus, but not the ones in Bassalicious.

There is more variety in the Bassalicious 2 presets. The original has some good presets, but if it is a choice between one or the other, I'd just go with 2.
Probably worth noting that I have never bought the IAP versions inside Pure Synth. I own Bassalicious and Bassalicious 2 as individual products. Inside them, in the Settings you can "Apply Crossgrades" which then makes the IAP for them appear in Pure Synth.
