  • Details from Korg:
"Let the Voice Of Rapture bring your tracks to life! This solo soprano voice collection captures the exquisite voice of high operatic soprano Nichole Dechaine. This library includes Ah, Ee, Eh, Mm, Oh, and Oo pure vowel sustains, 23 staccato syllables, 12 sustaining rhythmic Latin chants, whispers, and special vocal effects - all recorded chromatically over a wide key range in a warm studio environment for a full natural sound and bright clarity. This classic Soundiron vocal library has been featured in dozens of soundtracks, television shows, games and songs for over more than a decade."

  • Been exploring this since yesterday, it's aces. I've been using Synth V for vocals but can always use the variety, and some of (especially) the phrases in this are absolutely haunting.

  • Thanks for the heads up! I'm a Korg completionist, so this is up my alley.

  • I downloaded the "try demo" and I can't understand the choices Korg made. They wasted limited memory on loads of Latin and French phrases, "throat clearing," laughing, etc. I doubt that many people will have any use for these. Meanwhile, they omitted very useful sounds that are available in the full version of Voices of Rapture Soprano like "oh," "eh." and "mm." They also didn't include the vibrato and non-vibrato versions of the basic sounds. So frustrating. I will not be paying $10 for this.

I just usually sample oneshots via AUM for use in FL Studio Mobile, Auxy Studio, Koala Sampler, etc. It's just a few extra sounds to an ever expanding palette of sounds between Module, Pure Synth Platinum, Beathawk, etc. Worth the $10 to me. But ymmv.

  • No ohhs and mmms suites me i like the idea of other languages and whispers…. I want to be felt more than understood my lyrics would only devalue the vibe unless its four or five words randomly, eg , love, you, eye, me, us…. I get as much of this vailed vocals as i can. Korg already has some goods oohs and ummms. Soundbox has some interesting ones… for AUD$15 ill dive in head first

  • Was thinking about buying this pack.
As seen in the start post, this was $10 introduction price. AppRaven lists it as $9.99 as well.

But currently the ‘sale’ price is €22.99 :/

Yeah, it's absurdly priced. But very good (imo)

The FRMS voice expansion is a better pickup when they run their $6.99 sale

Also, I have some great vox samples shared on iCloud- hit me up and I'll send you a link.

The SoundIron samples are top notch, and want top dollar lol

Skip to 1m20s in to hear the sample pack in action. Yes, expensive, but top notch. ❤️

There's another korg voice expansion named: Manipulated Voices that's pretty solid, you won't get Ah's and OH's like the SoundIron or FRMS one, but it's still vocal stuff and I believe it's only 6 bucks. Might be more.

And again for anyone wanting solid vocals/choirs for FREE

    I highly recommend Sopranotron2
It's IAA only but it's top tier also!

  • Is PIPA a good option for that kinda stuff too?

Oh absolutely! I love PIPA-- it's often on sale for less than 5 bucks too! Good call @Squishy

PIPA can be "stretched" and manipulated in some really incredible ways. It's one of the coolest apps I use- I can't wait till BLEASS VOX goes on sale.

    @R_2 @jwmmakerofmusic

Check your DM's - sent u some vox stuff

  • @jamietopol

I concur with you about some of the phrases korg elected to include in this- but the original SoundIron Voices of Rapture is much larger than the Korg version. The Korg version appears to be a scaled down version of SoundIron's actual Voices of Rapture release.

  • I understand its quality, just odd that the ‘sale’ price has changed from $9.99 in Dec to $19.99 now…
This price inconsistency doesn’t occur with the other IAPs.

  • Reported it to Korg and they’ve contacted Apple.
Sale price is back to €9.99 now :)
