“AUM App Salad”
I bought a bunch of interesting apps and started mixing them together in a nice AUM Salad.

What an AUVTreat!
Thanks for the listen and comment.
Guess what apps I bought to make this. There are about 5 new apps. The MIDI generators are old friends however: Mozaic and Riffler.
Awesome one
)
Gonna guess Riffler Flow as one of them and Exosphere
I'm keeping myself distanced from knowing what new apps do what until I upgrade to a newer device (mine is still iOS12
Fun track, a bit off mainstream😁 If anything: drums could be louder (and/or harder maybe).
It’s just the original Riffler… I use it as a sound source in one instance and a MIDI source driving a rather hidden instance of the newer PianoTeq 9. The PianoTeq 9 gets exposed for a few seconds. But it’s mostly used as the source for Mic Drop.
Mic Drop is a beast and I wanted to mix 2 instances which swamps the DSP capabilities with my usual AUM sample size and sample rates. I tweaked the sample rate to 96Hz and got two instances working.
The drums are the new. AUv3 Pop Drummer.
There’s an instance of SampleScape on it’s own channel too… I hit the randomize button hoping for a interesting result… it takes 2 hits and I got lucky at that but SampleScape is deep and this was the maiden voyage. Just hitting random is probably how I’ll enjoy Paul’s wonderful creation.
For Mic Drop I used the 1 hour demo for 5 minutes and got distracted for a good time slice and had to buy it to make this. It’s pretty magical and I like making its unnatural vocals that just scream ‘fake singing.
I want to see more apps from these folks… the use a lot of resources to spin audio gold.
For FX I got AuDelay and the new tape delay which I slip in at the last few seconds.
What an interesting and awesome track. I really like how unique it is. Not going to guess as to which apps were used. I'm just enjoying the sound.
I like the idea of using Riffler for something other than rock guitar. It always comes up with some interesting stuff. The “Challenge Presets” are always fun. It might be fun to use it purely as a MIDI pattern generator without any of the guitar sounds. Lots of possibilities. I’ll give it a try this Saturday.
Very enjoyable, I really liked the “yodeling” sound. Am I allowed to ask which ingredient did that? Was that the dressing maybe?
Of course. It’s 2 instances of SoundLab’s “Mic Drop for iPad”. Apparently you can sing through it and sounds like a selected singer. I haven’t tried that yet. I just put some midi streams into 2 instances. It uses a massive amount of CPU/DSP. I have
an M1 iPad Pro and 3 instances requires pushing up the default sample buffer way up to use 2 instances.
It was the first generator I thought of to quickly add some syncopation to the party. I just hit “Create Riff” in 2 instances to get
2 streams to assign into the PianoTeq 9 instances feeding 2 Mic Drop vocalists.
Didn’t expect the ‘yodelling’, worked out Riffler and a Lumbeat drummer but didn’t know which one, didn’t get any others.
Enjoyed the track 👍
All the apps used are the most recent apps from that developer… but I already disclosed the apps in play. I kept tweaking this “Salad” after downloading all the Mic Drop “voices” and “instruments”. I still haven’t set up a good mic and tested singing through Mic Drop. That would take the results out of the vegetarian category… but it would put some skin in the game.
I'm trying to figure out what veggies were in that salad. LOL. All kidding aside, very well done. The vocals, however you did them, are very cool. One of the more unusual things I've heard of late. Catchy in a quirky sort of way. Enjoyed the listen.
Now if your music could make Tofu taste good you’d be onto a winner 🥇
All the vocals are “Mic Drop”:
I must say that Mic Drop sounds like a fun little app. This AI stuff seems to be taking over. Pretty soon, human-composed music will be considered “quaint”. I miss your orchestral StaffPad compositions.
I like it a lot. What drum app did you use?
I really dig the vocals- vocal tweaking is kinda my bag- super impressed with that bit. Would love the stem of the vocals if you're willing to share.
Pop drummer, the LumBeats drummer app that has AUv3 capability.
Mic Drop gives you a 1 hour demo mode sp you could capture some audio output for free… after that you might get hooked and need to decide on subscription for a week, a month, or a year or fixed cost for 16 singers or the $60 everything for ever.
Music that breaks new ground will still surface if we look for it and share our discoveries.
Oops wrong thread… disregard.
