    Fair, though I mind this less in paying for a decent app if the cost is reasonable than I do about selling my data, like AppRaven for example.

    Sure. I’d rather no companies sold users data hiding behind the cloak of their end user agreements. Different thing entirely though.

    My point is that I’ve anecdotally recently seen an uptick of apps start free, then on the first update list ‘bugs fixed etc.” and not mention that they added IAP functionality - which is shitty biz to offer something for free than charge early adopters for it later without explicitly stating as such.

    There’s a few apps I’ve used that carried over users that either were in when it was free or paid cheaply that I still use because of that method and a couple of them have been around for years and seem to be doing well.

    Either way, I’m massively speculating about the prospects of this apps future. Unfair of me to make that anecdote while highlighting a new app that seems nice on its face. So that’s my bad. No disrespect intended. Poor form all around on me.

    That makes sense. I didn't feel like you were throwing road at all, it's a valid response in general.

    Knowing how hard it can be to get apps out and recognized to make a living, I can appreciate why something might start out free and become paid, but I absolutely agree that should be made perfectly clear if an update changes that, if not on its release.

    Yep, probably not, lol. I didn’t even consider there would age ratings for apps. It’s funny, ‘cause I published a few games on the App Store and Google play 10 years ago. Don’t remember them getting an age rating, but they may have.

    I’ve never had any bug issues and it’s definitely one of my favourite apps! Seems really simple to get something going.
