Has anyone used Klevgrand Richter as a transient shaper? Was considering grabbing it, but haven't been able to get a solid sense of whether the transient controls really provide that type of functionality and how well it might work for both drums and bass synth - I know that isn't the the primary goal of the tool, but curious.
Otherwise, is FAC Transient still the standout transient shaper for iOS/iPad, and does anyone know if it supports sidechain input like FAC Medusa?
Anything else particularly effective for both drums and bass synth? Blue Mangoos is suggested to be a little easier to use, but with less control, and curious if others here agree with that - no indication it supports sidechaining either.
Obviously I can use FabFilter or something else for sidechain options, but several transient shapers on PC have this, and it would be great to find an an iPad shaper that does as well. Generally I would use this during mixing, but I'm finding cases where I want a little more control over incoming clarity when recording sometimes to bake in the results before adding other effects.
I had picked up Klevgrand Fosfat previously, but I find it challenging to coax good transient results from it in some cases, and often don't like the additional sound elements added to the results that I haven't been able to figure out how to remove yet. What was cool was accidentally hearing some side-chain-like results when accidentally including a fast rhythmic bass line with some drums, and it would be cool to achieve results like that, or that can otherwise affect the transient controls.
Saw Klevgrand Richter pop up and wondered if it might be a functional replacement until I can pick up FAC Transient or the Blue Mangoo option.
@EnergyCrush I can’t speak to Richter, but personally I’m a big fan of Crack:

No side-chain, however.
Can confirm
Interesting, I'll take a peak, thank you
I'm curious about this one, too. There used to be some enthusiasm for it around here.
No updates in 1+year is a bit concerning for a $15-20 app.
Thank you.
I have been a lurker for a long time and finally joined to properly thank users who post about the deals here, mainly @Poppadocrock, really appreciate the help.
That’s the biggest thing. Others might have no problems with bugs but I definitely do, and I reached out to the dev through email and their discord long ago and never got any response. I bought it when it was on intro sale at 12.99 and knowing what I do now, I wouldn’t pay that today.
Same with me when I tried to reach him regarding Waveshaper. Never got a response either. Turned out to be a device issue but still left a bad taste in my mouth
Thank you. Welcome to the fray!

It's dangerous in here. I didn't know about 90% of these apps before discovering this community.
Discovering little gems is most of the fun, but I am happy to indulge in a few apps once in a while as opposed to desktop software. Actually, the most dangerous field is hardware imo, haha.
Definitely. Theres a lot of interesting music making things available in this iOS world. From fun or unique up to serious software.
Speaking of, the not yet released Musyc 2 has an open testflight, via a separate thread in this forum, and it’s a pretty great little noise playground with midi out.
I have a feeling you’re right about the hardware fever. Lol.
Omg! Been waiting for MIDI-out since I bought it when they first promised it in Musyc Pro years and years ago (it's still listed as an upcoming feature in the Musyc Pro App Store description!!). Irritating, but either way, FINALLY!
Found it and got on the TestFlight. 💪
Thanks for mentioning, Poppa!
A shame. EG has done some of the finest work to date.
Ditto. It's forced me to really stop and consider what I actually need and will get used in my workflow regularly rather than grabbing everything I can.
