    Huh ... can anyone confirm that Sugar Bytes added multiple audio outputs to Dialekt with one of their updates, or was that only for FX out? I know it didn't start that way, and I'm having trouble finding definitive information, but notice it's still on sale and might serve a purpose for me if it does.

    The iPad version is multiout but the phone version isn’t.

    Well, I spent a bunch of time tonight looking at Multi-Out drum AUv3s, as I always separate my drums so they can be properly mixed later.

    And after a ridiculous amount of time, I also finally figured out that to get Sugar Bytes Drum Computer to start and stop within Loopy Pro when clock is external, you apparently have to enable Ableton Link ... a component that should otherwise have absolutely nothing to do with midi clock behavior of hardware, AUv3 hosts, or plugins that specifically support regular, normal, common, expected MIDI clock.

    And for all that, then realized after trying for more time that unlike Drum Computer on the PC, Loopy Pro can't do anything with AUv3 plugin multiple outs beyond main anyway.

    A little frustrating, the unobvious obscurity of what seems like clear behavior across most DAWs.

    Literally passing out from exhaustion, I appreciate the responses to questions, was so damn close.

    Hey. Try not to get to this point of frustration. There are plenty of people here willing to help, especially about Loopy Pro. Just asking about multi out would have no doubt brought the answer of, not yet but it’s coming in an update.

    Yeah, I'm sorry for my tone, I'm not knocking Loopy Pro or Michael or any of the amazing work he has done or that has been put in by everyone. It was a frustrating moment after a long day, and I've been pouring a lot of time into getting everything setup with hardware as well, was pretty exhausted last night.

    I'm sure I can figure out a solution with a clear head, or yes, reach out to the community to find a good path.

    Happens to the best of us. Cheers!

    I didn’t know Curaçao had a football team.

    Apparently they do, and they’re in.

    Only slightly relevant, but “curacao” was an allowed word in the New York Times Spelling Bee puzzle the other day, as its also a liqueur I understand. 🍸

    It is, it’s a blue liquor. Blue curaçao.

    p.s. I’m curious to know if anyone has bought Fugue Machine Rubato at its current sale price (until Dec 8th) of $29.99.

    I did and I’m happy. Lots of options immeasurable flexibility but tiny fonts. Upside you get a Mac app as well. Well worth 30 for doing stuff nothing else does.

    Nice to know, @audiblevideo. I’ve watched several videos and played a bit with the demo both on iPad and iPhone. The non-sale price (even reduced with the bundle discount) was more than I was willing to pay, but $30 seems reasonable. My Xmas present to myself last year was Fugue Machine, and I think this year’s present will be Rubato.

    I would bet money Rubato is worth its current sales price. I don’t have it yet, spent a lot on an iPad, but Alexandernaut don't play around, and based off videos, etc… it looks awesome.

    Fugue Machine Rubato Sale ends December 8th

    Fauve is REALLY awesome I find. I use it more than my granular effects. Lately I pair it a lot with jAmp Percussive. Or djembe loops. A bit on the dryier side than wet, so the groove is not lost in the glitching.

    It was nice to hear about this - I had picked up all the core things I wanted that were available, but with this tonight grabbed Fauve and Wov as well.

  • Last call for Transit 2 $10 (I think).

    Last call for Transit 2 $10 (I think).

    I've gone back and forth on it, but I just don't know if I would really use it. Like Turnado or other snap-in style effects processors, they often just generally feel less focused, not as clean sounding, and much less detailed in the individual effects.

    I'm not saying this is true of Transit 2, but I think I have a tool for every individual effects it can produce that is better at what it does.

    But does anyone feel like Transit 2 does something especially well or better than any other tool they've got, and specific value out of it?

    @EnergyCrush

    For live performances and quick stuff, Transit 2 is amazing. The Macro/sidechain/follow/lfo modes are so easy to work with and so quick to come up w/ cool results. I'd say for 10$ it's a no brainer. Even if you bought it just to browse through the presets I think it's worth it.

  • Transit is good for sound design with the envelope followers. I’m pleased with it on iOS. On desktop I just use shaperbox or infiltrator, though I may grab it on a steep sale..

  • edited December 2025

    @EnergyCrush

    IMO if Apple allowed for recursive AUv3 hosting, there would be no need for Transit 2, since you could just build your own scripted “pedal board” and use multiple instances of it anywhere — energyXT-style. Can’t really do that on iOS without janky, limited, complicated, dying IAA/Audiobus routing.

    Also to my ears the FX sound really decent on the desktop demo version (haven’t compared it to Turnado), and if you’re rapidly throwing a bunch of them together and modulating them, nuance might be less relevant, and extra knobs not as missed.

    I could see myself using it as a rapid prototyping environment that could also fit in the final mix without regret. If I want to go deeper, I can always replace with items from my stash.

    Yea for ten bucks, with 1000 presets, all the fx, modulation, and one button macro I’m glad I grabbed it. Never had transit 1 and I’m a fan of baby audio so grabbed it for $10. Someone in the main app thread said the developer will make it $9.99 one more time in a year for anyone who wanted to upgrade to transit 2 but missed the intro sale. So basically the 2026 Black Friday-Holiday Season it will drop to $9.99 for the final time.
