I did assume the one I put down as number one choice did have higher weight than the number two, and similarly to number three. Otherwise all you’d need is one list and an admonishment to “pick three — only three” and trust people could manage that. I’d estimate other people would have considered the top choice to be the most important, too. Am I correct? (Alternatively, is it actually important to regard which ones people considered top priority, or is it just a case of picking the first second third place overall? And should I have gone down the betting shop by now?)
The instructions said nothing about ranking them in order. So I don't think we can or should now give more weight to the first vote etc..
If you could pick 3 from 15 then i'd have only made one list/vote. But you can't. So this was the next best way.
7 more needed to get to 100
Thank you. What kind of cupcake? Do you need my address? I really like cupcakes.
I'm late to the party to make requests on the poll, I'm sure -- but I'd love a huge overall on sample slicing workflow. For IAPs, I'm having a hard time working with them. Accurate and detailed zooming into samples to define slice points should be a given. I'd lose the skeumorphic UI in a heartbeat in the interest of functionality.
Thanks for putting up this poll! So it's just 3 more voters until 100 now. I voted 1) audio tracks, 2) IAA, 3) multiple undo. Although most of the other suggestions would be very welcome. But obviously audio tracks is by far the highest priority for most people here so I hope Korg will finally deliver that as promised when launching the app in the next update. Now can we have at least 3 more voters before sending this to Korg?
Yep... time is running out before we close the poll. Roll up roll up...
3 more would be nice...
VOTE NOW OR TAKE THAT PIECE OF YOURS AND FOREVER HOLD IT!
Okay, 99 so far! Come on guys, let's keep it going!
It's at 100! Well done team!
Phew etc.
Just two hundred more and we can dress up like Spartans.
Well done everyone.
Still time for a few more votes.
i can't believe that audiotracks made the first place...
audiotrack? i don't understand.
Multi FX, better midi and better sample browser....
And iPOLYSIX / iMS20 into gadget !!!!
I voted for audio tracks but I need no audio tracks ;-) What I need is "much longer minimum sample import lengths" which was unfortunately part of the "audio track" option.
Great stuff, thanks Matt and Syrupcore
I think that whilst the top three results is a good Macguffin, Korg should see the whole list as an appendage. What company wouldn't be interested in that as a survey of one of their products?
Why? What was your first choice?
Yeah, I can't believe you can't believe no. 1 is audio tracks. It's the one feature that would turn this into an actual DAW that you could play guitar into and all that. And Korg announced audio tracks would be added in an update when they first launched Gadget. This is not some little feature that would be nice but something that they must deliver in the very near future. If not, they would have been deceptive in that first announcement. So they got to be working on it now.
It's an excellent effort and a good poll. More than that (in the real commercial world) it's also an excellent PR opportunity for Korg, with a number of ways for them to leverage it. I wonder if they will. Instructive either way.
There you go.
Voted.
Since I live in Baltimore - can I also vote for my dead family members?
Ok folks... here's the final result. 108 votes in the end.
I don't think I can turn the poll off (@sebastian do you know if that's possible?) but let's declare the result now... and here's the screen grab we'll go by.
Anyone else wanna volunteer to do the maths now? Never my strong point and i'll be offline till tuesday anyway...
I wish there was a global gadget with a larger keyboard that allowed you to stack/split other gadgets loaded in the mixer-strictly for live performance-
Hi, university drop out know everything better here, why not take the 3 most requested items from each of the three columns, i.e. 1. Audio tracks, midi, fx, 2. Audio, fx, midi, 3.Undo, midi, audio ?
therefore:
1.: audio
2.: midi
3.: fx/undo
Or someting like that ...
I think you just convert all the percentages in each poll into votes... That gives you the total number of votes each received. I just wanna hand that job over to someone else
.
@syrupcore can probably get in and get that from the code...
I can see just by looking that Audio tracks won, FX was second and Midi was third... I think... but it would be good to get the figures I guess.
Or just add up the percentages and divide by 3 to get the percentage for each, actually.
The trend is there, maybe correlated by the unreported ... have a good timeout then, Matt
Thanks @crzycrs
An actual DAW has channel effects!
