  • Not seeing this issue mentioned here but I can’t adjust the “dials”. I move them and they snap back to the character pre settings. New pattern and variation buttons work. Is there a “locked” parameter switch that I’m missing?

It’s a bug. Been using Apple Pencil, which causes the above behavior. Finger contact works.

  • No problem here with an Apple Pencil Pro...

Idk if I missed it, but can the 4 voices be sent to different synths per voice?

I’m not seeing that option and after reading through the thread, either I missed that answer, or it hasn’t been acknowledged thoroughly (if it has has apologies!)

I’m pretty sure it does not have multi-output, @offbrands. Hopefully in a future update!

No unfortunately you can’t as of yet , but the dev posted the following on page 1 of this thread.

I’d love to know if the midi can be sent out on different channels.

Curious about that, too. Don’t see any mention of it.

Not yet - it's all on the one channel, but it has been the biggest request for the desktop version (after the ability to manually change the chords that I implemented in v1.1) so it will be something I look to bring in a v1.2 update for desktop and iPad

Ahhh I did miss that. Okay thank you @Hel - apologies @higherplane for missing that.

No need to apologise :) Yeah - very much a requested feature, so I'll make it happen.

I've discovered today that it's all to do with your 'hover' setting (in your iPad settings). If you have hover on then you'll get the issue you're describing. If you have hover off then it works as you'd expect. I'll have to see if there's a way around this in the JUCE framework... if so I'll patch it in a future update :)

    Thanks all for your support

  • Does anyone else's make a terrible brief sound anytime a knob is adjusted?

Yea, same here, i think it only happens if you adjust the chord being played while it’s playing it hits what I’m guessing is the new chord or note you added in the change.

I like it so far, the two things I would like to see would be the ability to set individual chord length, and the ability to go down to 1 bar per chord.

Edited.. app is awesome. Great with strings/choir/pads.

I totally agree, that would be great and very needed especially in slower tempo tracks @higherplane.

    Morning :)

The ratcheting sound is caused by SpaceWalk regenerating the progression in realtime as you adjust the knobs. I've got a build up on TestFlight at the moment which adds a bit of a delay to parameter adjustments and then only applies them at the next chord change so it's a lot smoother for those of you who are using SpaceWalk 'live'.

I’ll get that out in an upcoming update once it’s fully verified across hosts. Thanks for the report (and the feature suggestions too — you can adjust chord length by using the deviation control, although this isn't individual settings per chord... going down to one bar per chord isn't something I originally planned to do, but I've had a small handful of people asking for it so I'll look in to it for the future).

Good stuff man. I’ve been feeding Spacewalk to Kaleidoscope and then out to Pure Strings and the progressions are really nice.

The ratcheting thing becomes less of a big deal once you’re dialed in- but getting there reminds me of a dental appointment. Still, good stuff.

Only just saw that video pop up - good stuff! If you're interested then this is how the new behaviour is implemented in the v1.1.4 (TestFlight) update

  • Yeah man, I'm really digging this. I got over the ratcheting sound pretty quickly, but looking forward to future iterations. Great work man.

Super idea! Sometimes a change can make dramatic tonal changes depending on the creativity of the writer. Thanks for such an amazing musical tool!

  • This fella is really growing on me! I've found my niche of throwing choirs, pads, formants, vocoders, theremins and I'm getting some really beautiful pieces.

I highly recommend this app, especially at its current price point - I'll post some of the configs I've been toying with-

    Very good stuff

  • This lil fella has become the "belle of the ball" in my lil iOS ecosphere. It's providing me with the perfect amount of makeup to make her classy and not over the top trashy.

It's like a well balanced 🍷 when the right mood (🎹) is set. It's become a fast favorite along with Piano Motifs, and Fugue. It's amongst good company. I'm really impressed @higherplane great work.

Another Fugue and Motifs fan! Sounds like we have similar tastes in sequencers. Excited to give this a shot. What do you like to drive these with? I tend to like pianos with spacey reverbs. I also find fun results with Fugue and Skaka.

  • @FizzyLizzy27 so glad you asked.

All Choirs, vox's (formants, vocoders, sopranotron2,pipa) any of the Sunrizer pads, pure strings, ANALOGySTR, odyssi, Thereminator, strng if you own gadget, a lot of the gadgets sound great. Lisbon, Kiev, Helsinki, Vancouver). Basically vox's, choirs, strings, pads.

  • Anything that can be droned out and sound emotional really thrives in this environment.

It not only adds a super complex rich atmosphere, but it's inspirational and surprisingly flexible across a shitload of genres.

  • If I could find some quality digideroo presets, samples I would like to try that.

This is amazing, so so beautiful! Would love a couple more scales , maybe Indian or Japanese ones, but it’s amazing as it is.

One question, a similar app for leads? I’m using MuseBud, but it’s a little bit machine like, is there something that sounds a bit more human?

  • I am using Spacewalk (mostly in AUM) with Beathawk's "String Ensembles" and "Woodwinds" sound packs- sounding superb. I wish I had bought Choirs too while it was discounted. Another app which I am using this with is FRMS with "Book of Genesis" bank.

I forgot to mention Chiangmai, Speldosa, RingsFx, whatever your favorite bell synth is, really sounds great. It’s so easy to get cinematic atmospheres like Gravediggaz/ RZA to completely ambient drones like Orb’s Orblivion.

The new update with the ratchet solution is great. This is the perfect time to grab Spacewalk, imo while it’s on sale. The new update is awesome, and highly encourage getting it while it’s on sale. It’s an absolute banger.

  • A truly wonderful app; beautiful chord progressions that go wonderfully well with one or more Bleass Arpeggiator(s). So easy!
