Yes, Logic Pro for iPad fully supports automation for Program Change (PC) messages, treating them as "MIDI data points" that behave like automation curves within MIDI regions in the Editor area, allowing you to change instruments or sounds mid-song automatically by drawing or recording these changes over time.
This video provides a tutorial on how to use automation in Logic Pro for iPad:

thanks for your answer @moralaloba
but what i want to do is:
change the program for a plugin via automation.
say i have an audio track with vocals on it.
i have a channel eq as an insert on this track
now i want different settings for the channel eq in different parts of the song.
preset 1 for the verse, preset 2 for the chorus.
how do i automate the preset change?
Oh! I see.... I don't know, What would I do? Copy that track, cut the vocal parts, leaving them alone, and on that channel I would remove EQ 1 and adds an insert to use EQ 2 for those parts... Maybe I'm talking nonsense... but if the vocals aren't everywhere and only appear in some parts, I would do it that way.
yes, if there's no automation for preset switching...
i thought of 2 instances of eq with different settings on the same track and bypassing one or the other. which can be automated.
