What is the best Flac file player on iOS ?
other file formats would be great as well, but I'm looking for the best flac player?

Comments
Flac Player is the only one I've heard of and you have to use iTunes filesharing to add the files to the app. I think it is still about $10, but I thought I'd wait until some native support came along. Well, it hasn't yet so there's only a few players out there. I have to use REAPER on PC when a client sends me flac tracks. I'm also waiting for ogg support.
I use and like CloudBeats a lot. It plays Flac (among others). It plays music files from online sources like Dropbox, Box, MefiaFire, OneDrive. Don't know if it plays directly from your iOS device, it probably does, but you have to investigate that if you are interested. You didn't specify wether your flacs are online or on your device.
Korg has just released iaudiogate, it's $9.99 though, haven't used it but here's a write up about it from sonicstate http://www.sonicstate.com/news/2015/06/26/high-resolution-music-player-for-ios/
oh sorry, that cloud feature sounds nice but yeah I'm talking about playing from the device, and trying to find something with good import options too
thanks mrz checking out the korg app, might have to give this a try if its universal
Z's dead baby, z's dead, think it's only on iphone, looked for links on the soundtestroom and discchord, just incase you wanted to buy it, but had no luck, my brain is fried though so they might be up there, somewhere.
haha I found it, looks like it works on everything, gonna try to find some demos first but will most likely be trying this out, let'cha know how it goes
Nice one kobamoto, would be interested to hear how it goes, as I'm tempted to get the app myself
Ooh, I get that reference.
A lot of film references usually fly right over my head, so I was in two minds whether to post it
yeah it looks like it's worth the try especially since it's on sale right now, thing is the desktop version also has audio editing but it doesn't look like the iOS version includes editing , I'm going to email them to make sure
VLC For iOS works for me, it's free. It even plays Hi-res FLAC files (24bit/96MHz).
which version is that dro could you link the exact one that you got?

thanks
no problem man
I second Cloudbeats for this. Easy to download folders from dropbox or your preferred cloud host for offline listening and it gets updated frequently.
MyAudioStream plays perfectly!
Use VLC for iOS. It's free and that bass on my iPad and Koss PathFinder is gorgeous. I'm listening to the new Avicii's album.
Hi. You can try FLAP player. It's free and supports many audio formats flac, mp3, aac, m4a, wav, aiff, m4r.
Hi,
I want share my odyssey searching a decent IOS (iPhone) FLAC/ALAC player.
After purchase and test dozens players, I finaly found a perfect player: JETAUDIO.
JETAUDIO have a excelent interface with sort, filters, etc and a Perfect Sound output.
To send flac music to it I simply start web server in jet audio and send musics from my PC.
I had a hard time finding a many-format iOS audio player I liked, but finally found ... (cue fanfare)
TuneShell - Equalizer, FLAC Player, MP3 Music Player for SoundCloud by LI DONG

Hope you like it.
Korgs iAudiogate. Bit pricey tho....
Or...... (Think the Dev has gone?)....... Musicsoft........ Audiophile Player for iPad...
Well, I tested a lot of players:
Equalizer+, VOX, CanOpener, Equalizer Pro, Radsone, Denon Club, Onkyo HF Player, Audissey, Neutron, BBE SonicMax Pro, Boom, TuneShell, Audiophile, Audio Xciter, Korg iAudioGate, Equalizer, Slicer and JET Audio.
IMHO, the best are JET Audio, in second place CanOpener and after maybe Korg iAudioGate...
Cheers............................
CanOpener gets my vote, you get full FLAC support and crossfeeding algorithms. Makes listening on headphones a totally different (better) experience.

This is/was free. good?
Not free, not good for FLAC. If you look for sound quality the best are JetAudio or CanOpener.
PS: edited: Tested Korg iAudioGate and it is a good piece of software, IMHO JetAudio still the best but iAudioGate is nice too.
hi friends, tested another player: nePlayer (not lite version) and I really like it, I can't test DAC but in a koss porta pro works very well with a rock solid sound, now the best players for flac/alac IMO is JetAudio or nePlayer, JetAudio have the best interface and easy to setup sound so is my main IOS player.
If anybody is interested in my JetAudio koss porta pro setup, I send some prints here.
cheers...
I am considering using iaudiogate to replace itunes
