ToneX from the previous iPad to the new one? SOLVED

ToneX users, has anyone switched to the new iPad?
I'll probably do that in the spring, and I'm afraid I'll have to transfer all my favorites (factory and freely downloaded presets from Tone.NET) manually, one by one ... :|

    Are you going to set the iPad up manually, or do you plan to use Apple's transfer mechanism? I would expect if you use the automated setup, everything will be as it was on the old iPad. I don't have ToneX so I can't say what the process would be if you set it up manually.

    Thanks for your response. My plan is to use Apple transfer (for the first time), but I had no idea that it could handle details such as favorites within individual apps. That would be amazing.

    I can't speak for ToneX specifically, but all presets, favorites, etc from other apps have always transferred fine for me. Sometimes "restore purchases" and/or re-download of IAP content has been required though, I think.

    It worked for me last December, when I updated my iPad. You just wave the old device at the new one and off it goes. It transfers all the data from the old device. Then you have to wait while all the apps are installed. And Tonex came through with the models I'd downloaded.

    Yes, as long as you do the iTunes backup up and restore to new iPad, all your data gets restored and presets too! But the app itself doesn't so it has to be redownloaded again. So make sure not to uninstall it just do a full backup rhe restore to new iPad.
