Sorry Y’all been sick last couple days, and still feeling rough so I appreciate the help.

Oh, no worries man, and no expectations. For the moment, when the limited number of things I'm tracking for moment come up, happy to report it.

    Cheers!

Anybody have any thoughts on these ? I probably am good with Pure Piano and pure upright but just wondering if these are any better and how much so.

I got it. I only have pure piano. I prefer it (only used for a little though.) It suits my house vibe a little better. Somewhere between an m1 and pure, just a little bit creamier than pure. I’ve not really dived into it as a straight piano stripped of the fx though, I’ve just used presets. I think pure might take fx better maybe. it’s a little more stable on my 9th gen.

I think you might be good with pure, I can get what I need with pure, I love it. it’s just for me
    It’s a little quicker.

    Update News

Korg Wavestation is bow AUv3! See the dedicated thread for more details.

That is so weird - I knew the iElectribe app was not AUv3, but could have sworn the newer Korg app versions already were.

Nope..just the iM1 was prior to today

Just to be thorough it is now Korg Gadget all gadgets individually not the workstation, Korg Module, Korg Electribe Wave, Korg iM1, and now Korg Wavestation

Ah! I wasn't imagining then, Electribe Wave is AUv3 where the older iElectribe is not.

I recently bought a Korg Electribe ER-1 Mk.I out of Japan, and while I know in many ways software versions can be more versatile and powerful, not having physical knobs and controls for my sound sources really puts me off these days. Some plugins can be extensively mapped if you have the right controller w/templates and patience, but a great deal cannot - as recently discovered, most iOS drum machines with 16 step patterns and multiple instruments/channels can't be mapped to a physical controller.

I keep getting excited by various iOS sound generators before reigning myself back in; that way, for me, lies darkness. Serum, Omnisphere, and so many other amazing plugins lie dormant on my studio PC, but the idea of touching a mouse to make music again makes me scream inside. I wish it were significantly better with touch on the iPad, but it's often like trying to pet a fish through the aquarium glass to me. If it giggles when I poke it, that's fine. Anything more than that, and security needs to be called in.

Alright that last was purely having fun with words, but maybe a general point still sticks through.

I feel you on missing out on tactile gear. Coming from far pedal world I love playing with fx on iOS and they’re pennies on the dollar compared to hardware but they don’t feel as nice or quick to set up as physical hardware. I was giddy when I got my Launchkey mapped to some of the fx in Fat Blob but the logistics of trying to map all the controls in a manner that made sense with my controller is very much a pigeon hole problem

TBH this is one reason I'm drifting into the Ableton ecosystem. Mapping knobs on my Move to plugin parameters in Live is so quick and easy that I actually do it. If they achieve that level of interaction between Move and Note on iOS/iPad then that will probably suck up all my iPad time. It means I'm spending less time with my favorite AUv3's on iPad, but hey, a lot of them are showing up on macOS and can join the party there  And maybe one day Note will be an AUv3 host (not holding my breath).

Well this sucks. The bundle I want is not available in Australia. That's a bit rude to the poor Aussies.

Maybe an accident or oversight. I’m pretty sure Gustav is a member of the forum you could dm him and ask.

PS. He created a thread recently about all the GSDSP apps being updated.

I did consider the Move and other Ableton hardware for integration, but similar to NKS, there was always something disruptive to my workflow.

When considering Ableton that way, essentially all your mixing is now happening in the box, but none of the controllers they make provide Faders for quickly visualizing things like mixer settings. The integration with Ableton itself is of course good, but also as with NKS, with plugins is very hit or miss - especially if you're actively using several across projects.

That lack of consistent and solid hardware integration across software independent instruments and effects was one factor, though a big one, that just killed any desire I had for creating on the computer.

But to each their own, and if you find something that works, awesome.

Bud Bundle 2025 is here! It was a special year for me as I grew my catalog from the MIDI Buds to FX and synth apps. In fact I only released FX and synth apps this year. Have lots of other cool ideas for the next year, so fingers crossed

Happy holidays and new years everyone, and let me know if you have any fun & quirky midi/fx/synth app ideas!

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app-bundle/id1860276515?mt=8

I have an idea for an always on recorder that we can throw on the master track that is constantly recording up to 10 min to ram (buffer, cache) or whatever is happening... Like Bird’s Rolling sampler. A must have plug-in for me. There’s also a midi recorder that’s always listening for free on birds site.
Along With options to crop and drag and drop the audio anywhere.
I love rolling sampler so much on my bitwig projects because if I play something magical, I can save it immediately. To have both those abilities in a auv3 would be great.

Loopy Pro’s retrospective recording is pretty handy for this. Not exactly sure how big the buffer can be - 32 bars is the longest setting which could be a long time depending on tempo. More useful to grab shorter pieces.
