Loop is muting and unmuting immediately and can’t change
I recently reversed an audio clip and after that it stopped muting and unmuting with the usual delayed muting and unmuting, it just mutes and unmutes immediately. I poked around in the gestures and actions but I still can’t remedy this problem. I tried copying it to another clip and that did not fix it, I also tried restarting the project and iPad but nothing. I have reversed many clips but I have never had that happen before. I am at a loss.

Can you post a screenshot showing the detail screen, with the waveform, for the loop?
I think this is what you asked for? Let me know if you need a different image.
When you say mute/unmute, do you mean play/stop of phase-locked loops? I am guessing so. When loops play and stop is determined by the play and stop quantization setting.
Check the settings in the global clip settings’ playback settings. If those are set to none, that is the reason.
If the global settings are not None, open the details screens for the individual clips. Check their settings. If you overrode the global settings, I suggest removing the override (see the manual if you aren’t sure how.
Lastly, check the Colour settings if neither the global nor individual clip setting was none.
When you say mute/unmute, do you mean play/stop of phase-locked loops? Yes, that is what I meant, it just reacts like muting and unmuting, sorry about that.
I will check the details you mentioned and see if that is it and if that fixes it I will let you know. Thank you. If I am still at a loss I will return.
@espiegel123 I checked those details and everything seems correct. I have a feeling it might be because that original clip had the Record Tail engaged. I tried toggling it off but that doesn’t help. Anyway, I really appreciate the response. I know how to “get around it” if need be but I was just puzzled enough to have to inquire.
@Stefafter: it is almost certain…unless> @Stefafter said:
If the clip is immediately shifting between play and stop, it would not be result of tail recording. Unless something strange is going on it is either a play/stop quantization setting of none:
If you save the project, reboot and reopen the project, and it still behaves this way, tell us how you ate triggering the clips.
If by touch, did you customize any gestures?
@Stefafter : you can make a copy of your project, delete the audio save it, zip
It and upload it so we can look at it.
@espiegel123 So the clip is locked and it is just turning the audio on and off when toggled. I looked through all the playback settings in color groups, project settings and they are all on loop. I did not customize any actions or gestures that I can see. I have restarted and rebooted with no luck.
So, I will try to save with no audio clips later tonight (I have never done that). I am on the move right now so it should show up later. Thanks again.
It is a bug. I am sorry to have wasted your time with all those questions. It appears that Loop play quantization is broken on reversed phase-locked clips. Master quantization works. And the quantization works on free loops but the wiper animation doesn’t work.
I really appreciate you letting me know. In that case I won’t be uploading the no audio project. Thanks for all your help.
