Transitioning

An experiment using Transit 2 to transition between a rock / jazz backing, an Indian raga and an ambient soundscape. Not 100% convinced it works but I was testing some methods of controlling Transit 2 as well so I learned some new things.
Transit 2, iBassist, Rozeta Bassline, NaadSadhana, Decent Sampler, BeatHawk, GeoShred and various effects.

  • Brilliant! Complex and enjoyable at the same time!

  • I never know what to expect from this place. You guys are sure creative. This is like a bad acid trip in a good way. Well done. Now where did I put my bong? LOL

  • Many thanks @Luc_A and @wagtunes 🙏
I’m afraid I’ve never bonged Steven… the closest I’ve got to mind enhancing drugs is a few glasses of Robinsons Old Tom 🍻

  • It most definitely works! As a former fretless bass player and big Jaco Pastorius fan, I really liked how you used it as the anchor for the whole piece. Very good, realistic tone. I can imagine myself playing it. I love the use of the transitioning effect to go from one section to the next, always building the intensity. Very original. Never heard anybody do anything like that before. I might just have to steal that in the future. One of your best!

I’m going to fire up iBassist and play with it for a while.

  • Cheers Paul ( @Paulieworld ) … I’m a sucker for the BeatHawk Fretless Vibrato !
I’m having fun with Transit 2, getting some really neat sounds out of it and I haven’t even read the manual yet 🤔
Have a great New Year 🙏

  • @GeoTony. Wow Tony, you are skilled in many areas. I really enjoyed it. frenq

I love this Tony! Exceptionally well done, and I really like how you returned to the Bassline motif at the end. I agree with @Paulieworld in that this may be one of your best. You know I’m a sucker for a groovey bass line, well this has that and a whole lot more!

  • Now that's a transition. Beautiful bass line and a wonderful continuation that comes from it. Very well done, Tony! frenq
