All-clip volume display—how to trigger with a widget?

There are times when performing that I want to see the volumes of all of the clips at the same time. The little striped-donut icon that pops up when the mixer is showing does exactly what I want—it flips all the clips to show volume adjustment (and panning). But the little button isn’t displayed when the mixer is hidden. What’s that button called, and how can I set up a widget or action to trigger the same display?

There isn’t an action to show the clip mixer. Using the mixer icon is currently the only way.

When the mixer isn't showing, a long-press on the mixer icon at the lower-left brings up the clip mixer. Not as nice as a dedicated widget, but you did mention that the button doesn't show up when the mixer is hidden, and this does address that part of the post.

  • That’s it!

Now that you mention it, I do recall reading something in the manual about the Clip Mixer. It’s section 5.7 and, like so many LP features, is a flexible and powerful way to manage clips. That’s exactly what I was hoping for.

Perhaps an action to toggle the clip mixer could be a feature request, if it isn’t already.
