how can I permanently block a thread?
I've got the user on ignore, but I cannot delete or block the thread?

Sorry, the forum doesn't have the capability to block individual threads.
Vanilla forums, the software the forum runs on, doesn't have that feature, and there are no 3rd party plugins available that provide it either from what I've been able to tell.

The best strategy would be to wait… it will roll away into the deep archive of “old news”.
I started the same thread a few days back, so no, as already mentioned it's not possible. I did find a way around it by removing Creations & Collaborations from Following. That has some very unfortunate side effects but I can always go through the thread once a week.
Not in some cases. The reason I decided to take the above action was because that "roll away" doesn't happen with some users. It's not a big deal for me though. If I could hide a thread I would, if I can, I just avert my gaze.

The extension uBlock Origin has a way to easily filter out some elements of a page. If you search the web on iOS, you would need to install a browser capable of running uBlock. I think Orion can do that.

I simply gave you an opinion of Ravenscroft that , imo, was accurate as I had used it quite extensively! That you didn't like that view, for whatever reason, and then decided to block me is an issue you have not me!.
Check what obtuse actually means - deliberately being ignorant of a fact even when said fact is known....I was merely stating an opinion that as it was based on algorithms that it was essentially AI.
Had you bothered to read the relevant thread you would have seen I replied to the dev and advised I would check further from the links he provided. And indeed stated he made a "fair" comment!

Alrighty, in light of @wim requesting I be nice, I'll try to be as nice as I can here.
I blocked you not because you said "Ravenscroft is crap on the iPad". That was your opinion, and that part was fine. You're entitled to say that. When you said, "he will learn in time", that's what irked me and caused me to block you.
I know what "obtuse" means, and your AI statement read as you stating a fact, not an opinion. I try to be careful with my wording when stating a particularly strong opinion, such as preceding it with "in my opinion" or "I think that". Sometimes at the end of stating the opinion, I say, "Anyways, that's my opinion, so grain of salt." This way, people like me don't misconstrue what I'm trying to convey.
But, if my assumption is correct, at least we can agree that we both don't like AI slop. (I used to not have a problem with AI before doing research on it, and eventually I came to despise it.) And I think we can both agree that stating an opinion online is difficult since we can't hear the timbre of each others' voices/see each others' facial cues. Text is a poor conveyer of more grey areas of speech.
I saw the relevant thread, and I didn't say anything further, because I assumed you would read the link he posted to help better your understanding of Wotja. The two devs at Intermorphic definitely have more patience than I do, which is a fact proven over the past 48 hours with anyone with eyes to read. 😂

I try to be as helpful as I possibly can. If there's a question I don't know how to answer, then I follow the thread to learn the answer. If there is a question I can answer, I'll do so without hesitation, and usually with more than one paragraph. 😂 I tend to be rather verbose.
The term AI is being dragged through the semantic mud. I think people's issue is with machine learning (ML) and the massive data scrapes of the current stuff that is dominated the marketing of AI. Most AI has traditionally just been creative coding solutions (like algorithmic music generation). Heck AI has been in video games since the 70s.
Actually? You're not wrong on that, mate! AI has been used in videogames, but yeah, my issue is definitely the whole machine learning bit as well as the fact that many jobs could be replaced with AI. Human creativity will always thrive, even if right now we're in a darker time. Of course, all that's my opinion, so grain of salt.

Yes indeed! I am guilty of just dumping all generative apps under the AI umbrella, however it does seem, as is the case with Wotja, that there are differences, some are subtle, but still cause the app to fall outside the generic "AI" term.
