I like Break-Up-Velocity. The production with the raspy vocal sounds like a young 80s band aesthetic. Since I’ve listened to a handful of your tunes spanning different periods, would i be wrong if i were to say you’ve used AI trained on your own voice from before the accident?

Yes. My voice was starting to go prior. Now it's totally shot.

Again, sorry to hear that but how fortunate to have such a tool to allow you to continue composing true to your form.

My latest. A little prog rock for world peace

Really enjoyed it! A strong melody and the vocals were really cool. It’s a bit off topic, but I really like it when I get to know creative people who work on different fronts, and by that I meant your sitcom. Definitely gonna check it out!

What’s the difference between prog rock and fusion? Asking for a friend of a friend.

Actually, that's only partially accurate. Jazz Fusion is one type of fusion. There are other types where 2 or more musical genres are mixed together. The difference is a very fine line when you start getting into the more esoteric fusion genres. But the main difference is that prog rock, generally, moves into classical music territory. Thus lots of orchestrations, piano type concertos or mini concertos.

Let me put it this way. I know prog rock when I hear it and I know fusion when I hear it. It's a crappy definition but it's kind of like defining porn. I can't define it but I know it when I see it.

    Hope this helps.

I have absolutely zero authority on the subject, but even while listening to Weather Report - a band widely associated with jazz fusion, as far as I know - there were a few moments here and there when I thought they sounded close enough to prog rock. Again, they were few and far between, but still.

Thanks Frenq. My next tune is a little more laid back. I needed a break from all this pop sugar.

  • Just a simple little folk tune.

  • 7th track from my upcoming CD "And Now For Something Completely"

Every once in a while I do something where it all just comes together. This is one hook after another. What do you think? Have I got a winner here?
