  • Congrats on your January spot. Very well done. Reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it and it's going to drive me crazy. Who are you influences? Maybe one of them will trigger something in my head.

  • Jazz with a pinch of Spanish guitar is extremely nice! :) If i were to make any sort of comparison to someone else, I'd say that this piece of music has Yanni's spirit somewhere in there. Very "Instrumental Adult Contemporary", which I really love! I'm very obsessed with Yanni's music, so don't mind me. ❤️ I enjoyed this thoroughly a couple times.

  • Thank you so much @jwmmakerofmusic & @wagtunes, I appreciate your actually just taking a moment to listen :) Now Yanni, that’s some big shoes to fill, this and what I’m hoping for the three follow ups are inspired by Madlibs Latino Negro, but when it comes to influences my range is near infinite. Music means so very much to me.

Music means a lot to me too, my friend. It's my reason for being as it were, from creating and producing it, to playing piano, so even the occasional exercise in lyric writing. I'm going to try and create some lyrics for this instrumental Pop tune I made yesterday on the bus in Auxy Studio, and will release that soon as part of Jamuary (and to Richard's awesome SOTMC Jan 2026 thread).

    🍻 Cheers!

  • I love the complex juxtaposition of the elements - musical and narrative.
    A journey

  • Interesting track, lots of nice things going on, looking forward to the next track 👍

  • Thank you very kindly @tubespace & @GeoTony , thank you for Taking the time.

Really nice! Reminds me a bit of Thievery Corporation - chilled Trip-Hop. Nice vibes and textures throughout. Was this a live jam, or did you use Loopy Pro's timeline feature?

  • edited January 12

Thank you @jwmmakerofmusic, timeline, LOL I have no sense of structure otherwise. Did you drop the track you were adding lyrics to?

Timeline is legit. I hope someday to dive back into Loopy Pro myself, but I do need automation first and foremost. 🫣

I didn't drop that track yet as I'm stuck on writing the lyrics. I'm trying not to rehash the same old words from the other love songs I dropped. It's tough, mate.

By the by, were you inspired by Thievery Corporation and other artists of their ilk? :) Or what were your inspos behind this track?

  • I get it, don’t want to say the same thing twice, don’t want to say it wrong @jwmmakerofmusic. I’ve been bumping into a lot of Kruder &Dorfmeister here lately, Thievery is always there, probably this one would have come in around about way from Who Am I by Peace Orchestra. If you bounce around K&D or Thievery, and haven’t heard that one, give it a listen, more than likely you have though, almost sure of it!

Been a long time since I've listened to Trip-Hop proper, but I'll be digging in to Kruder & Dorftmeister and Thievery again soon. :)

  • Not Jamuary but I wanted to put this here. Inspo @GeoTony

  • @jwmmakerofmusic i also have a Gadget track you got me to do, just not sure how to get that one out of its home lol

  • Ooh don’t think I’ve ever been an inspiration for anybody 😊
Thanks for the mention and keep up the good work 👌

  • I'm glad you were inspired by me @Drrabbitfoot . :) That means so much to me.

Your Geoshred track is wonderful as is the GR-II track I inspired. If you need help with Gadget export, let me know. :)

  • Didn’t make through Jamuary respect to the Artists that did! I did offload and clean up though, and to me this is one of my favorite pieces to date. Hope anyone who stops, enjoys and is well.

I really liked what you did here. :) Yeah, Jamuary definitely took it out of me. 😅

  • Yeah, you & Mr Tony for sure we’re at a pace lol! And thank you!

  • No one gives @bleassapp s Reverb any love …it’s legit!

Are you joking? 😅 I think I used Bleass' Reverb on half of my Jamuary Ambient pieces. It's a lovely reverb and works a treat. I also love Bleass Shimmer, and Megalit was my most used synth for Jamuary.

    I love @bleassapp 's apps.

  • It really is, I was messing with it today, and it made me wonder why in the top posts, it never has a spot. Quit giving away all your secrets @jwmmakerofmusic lol ;)

Lol! 😂 If it helps someone out there, whether by educating or inspiring, that's what counts. ❤️

  • Sometimes inspiration hits like a bolt of lightning, made in LP after watching @thesoundtestroom video on Circa

  • Don’t know why but I really enjoyed that last one … failed the Rorschach test though ☹️
