I'm not surprised. Look at the jeans pocket - not riveting.

All I know is it seems like that's all anybody is talking about now.. The Belle of the NAMM ball this year, it seems. Levia-mania.

For my part, I had just about talked myself into the idea that I need a Hydrasynth in my life...

  • Seems cool, but eh. I have an iPad and iPhone which do everything I need already. I'm actually GASsing for the Zenology GX synth coming to iPad. That fascinates me more than anything else from NAMM 2026. Looks perfect for Ambient soundscapes.

That does look cool. The Roland vagueness about the pricing/subscription makes me largely tune that one out until we get details.

Which Model of Hydra are you most interested in:
    desktop (no keys), $849
    37 key, $599
    77 key, $1577
    Amazon pricing

I’m sure you’ve done a lot of diligence and will have a useful review.

    That's fair. :)

No, I haven't really gotten that deep into it (however, I believe there is also a 49-key model, which may be the sweet spot). But my point was just, I was just barely getting up to speed on the Hydra and now there's this whole new wild and wooly world of Levia that everyone is going mad over. The Hydra is definitely the more affordable of the two.

Sweetwater pricing that has the 49-key model too:
