When pitch'ing an audio clip using Midi clip, is there a way to hear only the pitched audio

I'm pitch shifting a recorded audio clip using a recorded midi clip and wondering if there's a way to hear only the pitched audio, not the original when playing

I tried muting the audio clip, but that also muted the pitched audio

Thanks

  • Please post a screenshot of your routing and a link to screen recording of what is happening.

  • Was the clip recorded from midi playing a plugin instrument? It sounds to me like you still have midi going to the instrument.

  • @espiegel123 and @wim, Thanks...I'll post back shortly, but just wondering... is this unexpected behavior?
    Thanks

It depends n how you have it set up. It sounds like you both trigger it for regular playback and via midi. The two are independent.

  • Ah, ok. Didn't realize that. They are indeed both playing, let me have a look at it again and I will post back in a bit, Thanks

  • It was indeed due to both playing...It's confusing visually since the audio clip looks almost exactly the same when it's playing due to being triggered by midi as it does when it's playing independently, but now that I'm aware, I was able to resolve this, Thanks
