JWM - Sunshine Meadows (Lofi done in Auxy Studio)
As described, I created Lofi in Auxy Studio. I mastered this in Cubasis with Taip, Bark Filter, Cubasis' Brickwall, and Youlean's Loudness Meter.
This was partially inspired by my girlfriend. She was looking for a beginner-friendly app to help her come up with musical ideas, and she couldn't figure out Garageband. Yes, Garageband is a beginner-friendly app too which can even host AUv3 plugins, but she wanted something a bit more "immediate" than trying to figure out the ins and outs of Garageband.
(Not for a lack of trying though on both our parts. I tried to help her with Garageband, but even I was becoming a little confused by how best to instruct her to use it. GB can be straight-forward in many ways and confusing in many other ways.)
Enter Auxy Studio. I suggested it to her, and she at first balked at the subscription fee of $8 CAD monthly. I sent her some money via Paypal to get her started, helped her a little bit with some "getting started" instructions, and suddenly she took off building her own tracks from scratch. ❤️ I'm proud of her.
She hasn't uploaded her beginnings to anywhere online yet (except showing me what she made via FB Messenger), but hopefully she'll someday show her work. Also, she doesn't know a thing about mastering her own tracks, but honestly? I usually turn off Auxy's Master Effects before exporting to Cubasis as I like to do my own mastering. However, Auxy's Master Effects come quite in handy in a pinch if sending off a demo or you just cbf mastering your own tracks. 😂
If you made it this far, thanks for reading and listening to my first track in February.

Bump.
Reading this, put me in a positive mood. Thanks mate for sharing!
Of course, mate. This track and thread is to help spread some positivity. ❤️
I love the chord progression, very 70s.
Teaching others is always very rewarding. Specially when it’s your passion.
Yeah, another friend compared it to the Beatles' "Sargent Pepper", and I'm just flattered. I seem to be stuck on a 70s sound lately (Disco too), and I'm all for it! ❤️
Especially when it combines my passions - my music, and my girlfriend. I love both very much. ❤️ And the joy of seeing her music thrive. This is her attempt at Lofi in Auxy Studio...

...and it sounds so lovely and calm. ☺️
Yep very much agree with @ecou and very much enjoyed
Nice one to enjoy listening to while enjoying the morning. It does have that 70’s flair, which I like. I like that rising sweep patch too! What trumpet sound did you use?
Glad you enjoyed it mate.
Glad you agree with Ecou.
It was the Bright Trombone under the Hipster Horns pack for Auxy Studio.
All packs come included with the subscription, so no pesky IAPs and having to work to collect all the packs. Can sub for a month, make a ton of tracks, and unsub. I've stayed subbed since late September last year though since, aside from January (Jamuary) I've used Auxy Studio for damn near everything.
Nice track! Very relaxing. I'm a sucker for the IV to IVm move too
Thanks mate.
Yeah, I love that type of chord progression a lot.
My favorite Xmas song does that too - "Just Like Christmas" by Low
I'll have to check that one out! I'm not sure I heard it before, and if I did, I didn't know its title. 😅
If this is what you produce being stuck on a 70s sound, I suggest you stay on it because it has got a Beatles sound, I like it very much, I grew up with a small transistor radio stuck to my ear listening to the Beatles during the 60s, you definitely have nailed the brass section part of many Beatles songs. Nice work JWM 👍
Mike
Thanks mate. That is so awesome! ❤️
I really like the progression and the dreamy feeling. This has a really nice nostalgic feel to it. You squeezed all of this out of Auxy? Amazing.
Thanks mate. Yes, it's all from Auxy Studio. ❤️ Been an Auxy power user since I resubbed last year late September. Lenberg even added one of my Auxy creations as a demo project. The popular-on-Soundcloud "Inside Your Warm Embrace".
Yes Auxy is $1 USD more per month than the Logic subscription price, but Auxy is the quickest way I've found for creating most music genres. Ambient too, although the Ambient I created in Auxy is more predictable than my Koala-in-AUM experiments.
Auxy looks fun, has the same immediacy as Ableton Note (I wish Note didn’t limit you to 8 scenes though).
Re: Just Like Christmas, they use Optigan samples for the music - if you have the iOptigan app you can recreate the music with the “Sleigh Ride” album
Oh cool! That's a neat idea.
Really, really nice track! frenq
Thank you, mate.
I appreciate that a lot.
