That was so calming. ❤️ I needed that before bed. You've really mastered Outgrowth like nobody's business. I probably should get started with Outgrowth soon. Any helpful tips?
Very otherworldly! I agree with Jim that you’ve really made this app your own.
As for discussion titles, I’m not sure it matters - if the music is good I don’t think anyone cares what the title is.
Really wonderful, no discussion possible!
btw.....is that your own voice in this track, Yvonne?
..I'm running out of superlatives to comment on your creations..
Soothing and haunting...
Beautiful! Has a real madrigal quality to it. I'm curious too about the samples and the faces in the video.
Thanks, friend!
My best tip is don’t sleep on the scanning mode. It can really surprise you.
Also, try loading one of the presets without samples and putting your own sounds in.
And a practical matter that was brought to my attention by @aqeelaadam. When adding a sample Outgrowth does not automatically play the sample for you like Koala does. But, if you long-press the sample in the file picker and choose “quick look” you can preview the file without adding it.
Perhaps you knew this.🙂
Thanks @michael_m!
Thanks, Pierre!
It’s not my voice. There’s actually 2 voices in there both from a wonderful sample pack by Samplephonics called Zefora Ethereal Voices. I’ve used this pack in innumerable tracks for many years.
It’s pretty much my favorite sample pack ever.🙂
Stop, you’re making me blush!
Thanks!
What a great pack, Yvonne. Just listened some samples of it on their webpage. And it's very affordable, say cheap for what you get. Just bought it.
There's a free sampler of the pack available here:

Thanks very much!
The vocal samples are from a Samplephonics pack called Zefora Ethereal Voices.
The faces are just one face. It’s from a small film that I downloaded from somewhere.
If you examine my most recent videos you’ll be able to spot it.
Especially this one.
Running out of titles?
Get a copy of Finnegans Wake.
Close your eyes, open to any page, and put your finger down.
Open your eyes... BAM! Song title.
OK, it’s decided.
My next track will be called “riverrun.” 🙂
@rottencat
That’s a good one.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun.
I’ve used “Fieldgazing” and “Four quarks”. I have more titles than songs!
“Lived, laughed, loved, and left”.
“First we feel, then we fall”.
“Here comes everybody”.
I have tried to read that book, but gave up several times.
I don’t think it was meant to be read like a normal book.
I wonder what he was like in person.
Edit - I just listened to the track. Nice mellow vibes. Reminds me a little of our collaboration on Sirocco. That one got 672 plays and 9 Likes!
The day I that realized I was middle-aged was the day that I realized that I would never read Finnegans Wake.
Or Proust.
I’ve tried. I really have.
I recently read a memoir by Sylvia Beach who was the proprietor of the Paris bookstore Shakespeare and Company. As you may know, she was the first to publish Ulysses. If you’re wondering what Joyce was like, it’s a good portrait.
Lots of Hemingway, too.
And @Paulieworld, thanks for your kind words. You’re right, it does bear a similarity to Sirocco.
The day I realized I was middle aged was… 30 years ago. I agree, Finnigans Wake is very trying. I wonder if anyone will ever make a movie of it. Stanley Kubrick… no he’s dead. I did not know about Sylvia Beach. I wonder if she regrets that business decision. I have read Hemingway. I’m not a big fan, but I thought he lived a cool lifestyle and had a great beard. I only have a gray goatee, but my wife likes it. 25 years together next Saturday! We’re going to a gourmet French restaurant called Tallgrass in Lockport. It’s pricey but we earned it. Google it, Check Please. We will drink a toast to you.
My only knowledge of Proust comes from Monty Python and the All England Summarize Proust competition…
I will check in from time to time and look for “riverrun”. Have a beautiful day!
I really like the setting you’ve created for my head space on this one
Actually, @Paulieworld, there was an attempt at a movie, in 1966.
I’ve never seen it but I’d like to, just out of curiosity.
And @Paulieworld, happy anniversary!
Here’s to many more!
Audiobooks. I got through so many books that I repeatedly failed to finish reading by listening to audiobooks while commuting 90 minutes to work for several years. Made the drive feel like nothing.
Now they help me get housework done. I can't believe how long I can go working around the house, cooking, etc with a good audiobook on. I'll keep finding new things to do because I just feel like continuing to listen.
Gonna try Finnegan's Wake. Pointedly when not stoned. I'm afraid of where that might go.
