If @michael has to get involved then it’s counter productive since he needs to care for his child and add extra value to Loopy Pro. That’s the best reason to have rules… so he can just let us converse without someone getting upset and flagging a thread.

I’d appreciate some bias in the rules but that’s just me… I enjoy venting in “other” where it’s permitted.

@richardyot - I haven’t listened to your work yet but I will when I can.

  • Lol at McD , only cause he unnecessary tagged him while bemoaning counter productivity. I sincerely love it!

I like Richard's work, in general. Other posts I've seen of his have the lyrics in the spoiler. Not this one. hmmm.

I'd appreciate it if overtly political creations got put in that other section of the forum but that's just me...

I see a couple of other contrary posts got closed, so perhaps McD you got your wish.

  • I'd make the counter argument that political music does have its place in the Creations section. Now, if I were to make a political song, I'd post it in Creations and simultaneously create a sibling thread in the Other section. Then I'd link that thread from Other inside the post under creations to say "all politics should be debated in my sibling thread under 'Other'." That way the music can be discussed in the Creations thread, and the politics can be discussed in the Other thread.

But that's only how I'd handle things if I made a political song. However, I usually choose to keep my music apolitical for the most part. One in a while I'll create a piece of political music to vent my feelings, but I always choose to show it only to my friends in private rather than post it to Soundcloud.

Anyways, back to the music, what Richard created above is pretty damn great. :)

A soundscape built with some of my Synthmaster 2 presets.

The voiceover was done with my voice, processed with Baby Audio Humanoid.

    Words below:

    When fascism comes to America
    Ushered in by hateful minds
    When fascism comes to America
Sanewashed by the New York Times

Look around you, you will see
Who among you longs to be
Wearing jackboots, while on their knees
And shoot to kill who disagrees

A million bigots steeped in hate
A million sleepers woke too late
A million victims drowned in blood
Religious zealots wait for the flood

And here among you evil stirs
D’you sit there silent while this occurs?
You watch it spread, malignant curse
You keep your head down, but it gets worse

You can’t debate with evil men
That’s what it means: never again
You shut them out, you close the gate
If you indulge them, then it’s too late.

Wow, I thought I was listening to Halkwind, that is a scary story, Synthmaster 2 sounds awesome, with all the new synth apps coming out - SM2 still sounds so very relevant, you made it sound very relevant.

Yep, SM2 is really versatile, as you can tell from this. I’m never surprised anymore at the results people get from it.

  • Oooh epic! Gave me FLA / Psychic TV goosebumps!

I’ve just had notification of another batch of free codes for Synthmaster packs (desktop). Not sure how many others have had this, but very generous of the devs.

I had the codes yesterday but I don’t have the desktop version unfortunately.

Great track. Also as a US citizen I feel like I escaped all the bad stuff that’s happening right now. A few years ago I moved to Mexico and now I’m living in Vietnam. Be strong

  • I like the composition. With this piece, you detected the harmful frequency collisions and addressed them with remarkable precision. I admire your producer abilities. You have an ear for the nice things.🤩

  • This is great!. I particularly appreciate the subject. How how are you not supposed to mix music and politics?. They are human traits, pertaining to the soul (whatever that might mean to you). Keep it up 🙌👏👏👏

  • Powerful piece of work Richard.
Obviously means a lot to you.
You should be be proud of the result 🙏

the idea of a group of people that they are superior to other people is one of the main principles of colonialism. Fascism is just the continuation of this false idea at the end of colonialism. The neo-liberal culture of the West still maintains this idea, with large effort, but it fails miserably. Times are changing.

The good thing is, that everything that is not true has a shelf life. It will go away eventually.

  • Love the way your voice came out. It’s not far from how Vincent Price did his voice work for MJ’s Thriller— though obviously the subject matter here is serious.

I like the patch that you’re using. It does have a vibe of 1984 and the Terminator blended together.

  • Great track, indeed the voice is reminiscent of Vincent Price in Thriller.

  • Thanks! My voice is quite soft and polite in real life, this is all Baby Audio Humanoid's doing 😅

Thanks to all who commented, much appreciated.
