automatically set clips to play one after the other

Please can anyone explain how I get clips to play one after the other automatically, after triggering the first clip?
Also, if the above is possible, i would still like to trigger one of the clips again, either the first one or one in the series, and it will play that clip and continue as before.

I’m not referring to sequencing by the way.

Can you say more about the context? There are many ways to do this but the details/context will influence how to go about it.

    Are these pre-recorded clips?

Do you sometimes need to play the clips without cycling?

Is this cycling through all the clips or only some?

Out of curiosity, why do you prefer to not use the sequencer for this? It is probably the simplest way to accomplish it.

  • What im doing is bringing in drum loops of various parts, i.e. intro, verse, chorus etc. i want to be able to trigger the intro manually then the verse automatically plays, followed by the chorus. However there are time when i would want to trigger the chorus or verse again manually therefore extending to play the same section twice. Thats why i dont think sequencing would work unless Ive misunderstood?

There are actions that move the playhead in the sequencer/timeline and the timeline can be turned on/off, too.

There are a number of ways to accomplish what you want. I’ll post info a bit later. about a few ways of approaching what you want.
