Count out recording doesn’t work as expected…
Hello,
I can’t manage to make my loops behave as I want… I don’t know what’s wrong with my settings, buttons and I need help to solve it please.
My template works as a « scene launcher » looper as you can see in the attached video.
In order to simplify, let’s focus on the 9 clips below the A, B, C buttons.
The A B C buttons control the 3 clips of the same color under them.
(The clips in each color are also grouped and the groups are « mutually exclusive » from one to the others.)
Button A : yellow clips (group 1)
Button B : magenta clips (group 2)
Button C : blue clips (group 3)
My ABC buttons are set in the same way for their own group
Press : play group x
Double tap : record next empty clip in group x
Here’s what I do in the attached video :
1- double tap on Button A to record the 1st yellow clip
2- before the end of the recording (2 bars count out), double tap on Button B to record the 1st magenta clip.
The yellow clip stops recording and stops (I have « Phase lock » desactivated) and the 1st magenta clip is recording.
3 before the end of the recording of the 1st magenta clip, I press the button A to trigger and play the group 1 (yellow clip). The yellow clip plays but the recording of the magenta clip doesn’t stop, even if the « Count out » is set on master = 2 bars.
This « count out setting » works well if I don’t press the A button and let the recording finish : the magenta clip stops recording after 2 bars and plays.
But if I want to launch another group (A or C) before the end of the 2 bars count out, the recording doesn’t stop.
What do you think ? How can I achieve this ?
Thanks a lot for your help !

I made a video to show you how my buttons are set.
I have a press action with « play group x »
And a double tap action with « record next empty clip in group x »
I checked that nothing was overriding my clip settings at the color or clip levels.
I also checked it at the « action level » as you can see… nothing overrides the « auto count out » that is ON and the «count out quantization » that is set to « master ».

@Steve77 : please export an empty version of your project, zip it and upload it here.
The zip is 2.4mo… I can’t upload it here and don’t know how to lighten it
I deleted the loops, there is no audio in it
Did you export the project after deleting the audio?
Yes I did it after…
Send me a zipped copy at support at loopypro.com
Done ! Thank you
It is a bug in the new Play Group -> Play action. Use the clip play action instead, you can choose the same play group as a target from clip play.
@espiegel123, wondering if this is same/different bug than the one you confirmed that I had found with play groups...When found are these bugs listed somewhere that we can track what/when or only tracked internally?
This isn’t related to something reported earlier. This feature was added in 2.0.5. In theory it is a synonym for the clip play action.
There isn’t a public bug tracker
