Launchpad x on/off state.

Using loopy in Drambo.

Needing.

Press a launchpad x pad. Pad is lit. Loopy donut triggered ( on )

Press button again. Launchpad x is unlit. Loopy donut is untriggered ( off )

Stuff to perhaps note.

( Iv got launchpad set to toggle in each pad setting )

( Iv got the 2 squares in launchpad Led settings. Square 1 green. Square 2 red )

( Iv got the yellow square lit also in the Led settings )

( Iv noticed OSC directory in loopy Control settings, with perhaps commands )

Iv tried the usual midi learn with listening and mapping incoming midi but you have to press launchpad button twice, to turn it on or off, So button state not in sync.

Loopy Pro has automatic bindings for the Launchpad X. Normally, you don’t need to set up any bindings for it.

Look in the control settings panel in Loopy Pro. Find the Launchpad X. Tap on it.

    Are automatic bindings on?

Does it recognize that it is a Launchpad X?

Id need it made in Drambo.

    I did check loopy host.

My launchpad is routed via audio4c.

I can choose generic device setting ( and launchpad )

Its then about as mapped as I made it ( myself )

but its also registers hold or defaults to hold as a midi command via launchpad.

Id need the message to be note ( not cc ) for sequencing in Drambo.

  • Hold on.

Iv got another button on launchpad the same command but not also toggle.

A feedback system, this might be an issue.

Should I make all my launchpad buttons to toggle anyway and correct midi note and ch.

Making toggle on launchpad and a feedback state needed ( is acheievable in Drambo ? )

    Im just loaning a computer.

  • @sigma79 :
If you use the automated bindings, loopy will automatically handle the LED colors and lighthing and keep the LEDs in sync with the state of the clips.

If you prefer not to use session mode and automated bindings, you will probably want to set up the pads as momentary controls. I don’t recall how the Launchpad in custom midi mode responds to the sort of generic midi feedback Loopy Pro sends.
