    Loved the 1st one. And being able to use this on my silicon Mac, with midi learn, makes this a no-brainer for me.

    Hmmm seems kinda buggy 😒 just opened this page, but can’t seem to get back to the main page. The cross at the top doesn’t do anything, nor does pressing anything else…

    Tap the bottom in the lower left, which in your photo currently says “C::Minor”

    Aha! Thanks @daddyfalldown . More importantly though, why is no sound coming out? I’ve got it connected to Elastic OSC, selected a percussive preset (i.e not a slow attack), and have pressed play in both Chaosarp and the transport bar in AUM,…but nothing (?)

    Oh, that’s weird - I just PM’d you Gav! Feed it notes, like play my midi keyboard into ChaosArp? Or another sequencer? Or, I guess send the AUM keyboard into it?

    Yes any of those options would work. It is an arp so it needs note input, that's normal!

    I like it and bought it. But it would be great to have many more parameters included in the MIDI learn functionality. Specially it should be possible to map the 16 steps to a slider/knob MIDI controller.
    And I would appreciate an option to keep note quantisation enabled even when the arp/sequencer is stopped. Currently you get odd transposition jumps when starting and stopping with quantisation enabled.

    Can someone help me understand how to use ChaosArp 2 on my macbook, in Ableton please?

    In this video , CA2 is clearly on a midi track in Ableton.

    I’ve asked similar questions regarding StepPolyArp and the 4pockets sequencing apps in recent days, so I kinda assumed that the same thing would be applicable here ; open ChaosArp 2 standalone, and then direct the midi into Ableton,….but in this vid, ChaosArp is loaded onto an Ableton midi track. So very confused. As always…….

    Yep. If it’s a silicon chip mac. This is not the case with all apps - some (like Harmony Bloom, the SQSL apps for example) are a separate purchase for desktop, but I’m very happy with the large number of apps that I bought for ipad and can now use on my macbook air (Fugue Machine Rubato! Nambu! Tera Pro!)

    Yes, would be useful for sure, think I already requested the dev add that, others should request too. Really any app with scales should have custom scales in 2026!

    Do you think Chaos Arp 2 is worth getting if you already have and enjoy the first version? I like the XY pad addition. I only wish it allowed custom scales and maybe microtonality as I would want to use it for my eurorack.

    Hi, this is Achillefs here, dev of Chaos Arp 2. With 1.3.0 (currently waiting for Apple's review) all steps (16) are now learnable via MIDI.
