I sang with an AI chorus...
...and it was the easiest group of musicians I've ever worked with. No complaints, they showed up on time, just about nailed it on the first take. They listened when I selected a new style that worked better in the vocal chorus. Who can complain?
The "snowflake" accompaniment is me playing Speldosa with my Jammy G. The only concerns with the AI voices: (1) they somehow still include nasty plosives (why did they include those in the training data??? and (2) the phrasing can still be weird. For instance, the vocal coda is supposed to be the word "mugs" and a couple of the singers couldn't get much better than a "muuuuhhh".
See what you think.

Well, I like the music. Not too keen on the voices, not that I have anything against AI voices as I use them myself. But the diction isn't great aside from the things you pointed out and they're a little pitchy in places, especially that last note.
But like I said, like the music. That's what matters.
I think this composition is great! The singing is a bit of a distraction to me, both you and the A.I. I’m definitely not implying i could do better 😅 A lovely piece overall .
I thought it was quite nice. A little bit like The Beach Boys when Brian Wilson was doing LSD. Pet Sounds was really great. I would have liked the main instrument to be a grand piano. The vocal arrangements reminded me of the Beatles, in that no one voice stood out, but everything worked well together. Have you considered going back and re-recording your own voice? That would be very cool. Use the AI arrangement but substitute your own voice.
I don’t use AI, but I’m not against using it as a co-producer. Like you said, they showed up on time, no complaints, and nailed it on the first take. Sometimes you just gotta get it done. Sort of like what The Wrecking Crew did for The Beach Boys and so many others.
Thanks, @wagtunes, @Blipsford_Baubie and @Paulieworld for listening. I agree that the voices, especially at the end are a bit pitchy but I was wondering if anyone else would notice without me saying anything about it. Again, I find it weird that these AI companies are letting these imperfections out into their paid product (I used a trial and will not pay due to the challenges I encountered). And if I wanted a "finished tune" I wouldn't use the AI voices but sing the parts myself (although some of them are outside my range) or use human singers. Still, as an experiment, I had a lot of fun with this one.
@lukesleepwalker how do you still use the Jammy G after the app is gone off the App Store? My Jammy connects without it, but after a recent device upgrade I didn’t redownload the Jammy app. I would love to be able to get the app again - I’m a tinkerer with all the parameters.
Finally had the time to listen. Amazing potential. I like the idea of co - producing with AI if you don’t have access to a real choir
Yeah, I'm not looking forward to my next device upgrade. I was able to download the app on my current iPad before the app disappeared. I found the Jammy G to be near unusable until I was able to tweak the playability/sensitivity settings--and adjusted the tension physically. Now I have it so it's a real joy to play... It's too bad we couldn't put the app up in a Drive or Dropbox somewhere.
Paging Dr @wim we have an app DOA and need a way to transfuse to someone else.
Lovely piece of music… Speldosa is a great app and you used it very well here 👌
Thanks, Tony!
Very cool. I made a song about Merlin's "snake" with Ai generating the lyrics and I did the vocals thru text. I find Eleven Labs to have the best voices for working with music.
I work with ElevenLabs in my daily work life and they have the best voice models, for sure. The Google models have come a long way, too, lately. You have a link to the track about Merlin's snake?
Yeah, thx for asking.
I like using the “ mythical creature” and rock dj voices in 11 labs
Super cool, love it.
