Bassalicious a new single recording

Bassalicious
They hadn’t played together in a long time, but the moment CP, Bob Sweetwood, Jim Stax, and frenq stepped into the same room again, something familiar clicked back into place. No plans, no pressure — just instruments, laughter, and the kind of chemistry you can’t fake.
CP picked up his guitar and set the first tone. Bob laid down a raw groove so deep it felt like the heartbeat of the room. Jim locked in with tight, expressive drumming, shaping the pulse. frenq filled the space with organ swells and shimmering synths, shaping the sound, guiding the flow and the production touch that glued everything together.
What started as a quick reunion turned into a moment of pure magic. By the end of the session, they had captured something raw, funky, and alive.
They called it Bassalicious — the sound of old friends reconnecting, just for a moment, and creating something that could only happen between them.

Sounds like you had a great time. You guys play very well together. Was this recorded in a studio? It sounds very professional.
This was extremely well done. I also like how the drums drop out towards the last minute of the song and the mix is allowed to breathe. As @wagtunes said, it sounds professionally recorded. What app(s) and DAW did you use to bring all this together?
Sounds great as usual @Frenq !
And just for clarity, this has nothing to do with the app by Gospel Musicians (aka Midiculous LLC) of the same name, right?

@wagtunes and @jwmmakerofmusic, Gentlemen, this recording was made in my home studio via a Tascam US20x20 interface, a Behringer ADAT, a bass and a guitar - all direct lined in, drums, Casio XW-P1 and G1 performance- and groove synths (very underrated) and mics, lines and a DI-Box 16 to Reaper with a few effect plugins for bass, guitar and drums. Mixed on Tannoy reveal 802 monitors. Quickly mastered in the same studio in Reaper with the BrainWorX Masterdeck plugin and a limiter from Ozon11. Thanks for the nice comments and for listening. frenq
Hi @Edward_Alexander, no it has nothing to do with Bassalicious from GM, although I know the app and it is very good! But thank you very much for your comment and listening. frenq
Nice! ❤️
Superb work by everybody concerned… great groove and playing 🙏
Thanks @GeoTony for your reaction!
