For the newcomers, FAC Bandit is a multiband AUv3 effect that splits your audio signal into three independent frequency bands, each processed with its own effect and then recombined to create the final sound. Choose from a set of effects, including saturation, lo-fi degradation, ring modulation, delay, and reverb, and blend them precisely within each band. Two adjustable crossover points give you full control over which frequencies are affected, allowing you to shape your tone with precision.

I had to refinance my mortgage after getting my life saving stolen by that Dark Pad app.
Anyone else just immediately buy without knowing or hearing anything about it? All I need to know is that FAC = bet(Agreed).
Grandma's a bit pissed about yet another postponement of her operation, but she's in no shape to do anything about it. I guess I could make do with a Grande rather than Vente Mocha at Starbucks tomorrow, but hey, why do I have to make all the sacrifices around here?

I very much doubt it, especially if you got Bandit 1 on sale. The pre-order price makes it kind of a no-brainer for me.
So what makes this plugin special for the cheapos ?
Do you ever feel like you'd like to apply certain FX only to one range of frequencies, or vary something like distortion by frequency range? Bandit makes that easy, without wiring up a bunch of filters 'n stuff.
A part from compression I never tought about it. Maybe Reverb .
Saturation, delay, and ring mod are great candidates too. It's possible to do things like dial in delay for only the hats of a non-separated drum loop, keep from muddying up a guitar part with saturation in the low range, or avoid fizziness by cutting the saturation in the high end.
There are a lot of things it can be useful for that we often don't think of just because it's so much trouble to set up.
My primary use of my iPad is performing with loopy pro.
So, would this app be something that’s useful in a live performance context with loopy pro?
I ask, because it sounds interesting, but I too am unsure where I’d use it.
@wagdog - If my post above doesn't spark any thoughts, then I'd say you don't need it. There's no sense complicating life with a solution in search of a problem. IMO.

You will be charged when the app is released. In some cases it'll install automatically and notify you. However, sometimes it doesn't install right away. You can install manually if that happens.
