ORGANIC
They were just kids when it all started — four boys crammed into a tiny rehearsal room in Amsterdam, chasing big sounds with cheap gear and endless imagination. Back then it was all instinct: jazz‑rock fusion riffs spilling into the Amsterdam night, grooves that lasted until the neighbors complained, and dreams that felt too big for their small town under the smoke of the city.
Decades passed. Life happened. Careers, families, distance. But the music never really left any of them.
Now, after all those years, CP on guitar, Bob Sweetwood on bass, Jim Stax behind the drums, and Frenq on B3 organ, EWI saxes and synths have stepped back into the room together — older, little sharper, and somehow even more connected. Frenq took the reins on production, shaping the sound in his small home studio where cables snake across the floor and the coffee machine works overtime.
The moment they started playing again, it was obvious: the groove had been waiting for them. Tight, warm, unforced. The kind of chemistry you can’t fake and can’t forget.
Their new mini‑album is called ORGANIC — a fitting name for music that grew naturally from friendship, memory, and the simple joy of playing together again. Tell us what you think about this album, frenq

All the songs fit nicely together. Great production all the way around. I probably asked this before but where do you get your sound FX from again?
Well Wags, that's quite extensive. For the reverbs I mostly use UVI Sparks, UAD reverb rooms + UAD software Lexicon 224 + 480, Eventide Blackhole + others. For compression UAD, Waves (various) and IK Multimedia. For the EQs UAD + Reaper stock, HORNET and often BRAINWORX, for mastering ISOTOPE Ozon and BRAINWORX Masterdeck. For guitars, Guitar Rig 6+7 + UAD amp. And many others for polishing and tinkering. frenq
Thanks but I probably should have been more specific. I meant the street noises and stuff like that. I assume some royalty free sound FX sight where you download them from?
@wagtunes, freesound.org and I have a lot of libraries on my drives. frenq
Thanks. Appreciate it. These libraries. Stuff you've purchased or just what you've downloaded over the years from freesound.org? And if you can recommend any sound FX libraries, that would be great. Thanks.
Hi Wags, you could start with the free MUSICRADAR (dot com) sample libraries. Just search on the site. These are immense and a good starting point. frenq
Thanks Frenq. Really appreciate your help.
The musicianship really shines out here @Frenq 🙏
Great work by the 4 of you !
