Guitar effects monitoring issue
Please can someone help, I swear I’m going mad.
I have an IK multimedia axe one as my interface going into loopy pro with my guitar plugged int it.
My goal is to have 3 clips to record into, each with different effects.
As an example:
Clip 1 - clean with reverb
Clip 2 - reverb and delay
Clip 3 - distortion
When I launch clip 1 and record into it, I only want to hear guitar with clip 1 effects.
Then when I record into clip 2 only clip 1 playing in the background but I now want to hear clip 2 effects and so on.
If I turn off monitoring on my line in I then have to monitor through to hear anything from the clips. What seems to happen is all 3 get audio from my guitar in channel and all the effects go off at the same time. I have them in different colour groups but I can’t seem to make it work.
I’m coming from Ableton where I would record enable a track and then have monitoring to in so I could, hear just that track.
I don’t have an external effects pedal but this seems like something that should be easily possible with LP but I’m just doing doing it properly.
Please help!

@MoulinRouge : there are several ways to do this. This page describes a couple:

@espiegel123 thank you! I’ll have a go at this today and report back. Thank you!!!
@espiegel123 just tried it out and works exactly how I wanted it to. Thanks! Really appreciate that.
Loopy Pro really makes you have to think but once you get something and it clicks it’s amazing. This will be the foundation of my template. Thanks again. Honestly I spent hours getting so close yesterday 🤣 but not close enough.
