JWM - Reggaeton Trance 032626 (Instrumental done in FL Studio Mobile)

Honestly these days? I'm rather shit with naming my music any clever (or not-so-clever) titles. 😂 But, that doesn't mean I won't try something different. So, I made a Reggaeton beat from scratch and added a lot of Trance elements into the mix. Mastered it in Cubasis 3, and voila! Reggaeton Trance!

Please do enjoy and let me know what you think. ❤️

    Bump.

Edit - Does anyone care to comment?

  • Funny you should mention the "shit" title. That's actually what got me to listen to the track. I just had to find out what the heck Reggaeton Trance would sound like. 😂

Nice one! Outstanding production and plenty of change-ups to keep it interesting. Not a style I'd put into my own personal rotation, but really well done and something I totally enjoyed. 👍🏼

Thank you so much, my friend. :) Glad you took the time to let me know your thoughts, and glad you liked it.

  • That’s really well done indeed! I’m not very familiar with reggaeton except for one single song my then girlfriend used to love back in 2005, and my knowledge of trance is even thinner, but the production value is encouraging for me, since I’m still learning how to properly produce my songs while using only my iPad.

You did all this in FLSM?!? Hot dang, making me want to give that app another looksee… Great track, impressive stuff 👍

  • You've got talent for many styles of music, Jim.

Thank you so much, mate. I'm guessing that song your then girlfriend loved was "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira? It was the most popular song back then which used the Reggaeton beat, hehe. Yeah, if you need any help/have any questions about producing songs on only iPad, let me know, and I can share some of my workflow tips and tricks. :)

Cheers mate, and thank you. :) Yes, all of this was in FLSM, including some IAP packs in DW Sampler. (DW is short for Direct Wave.) I originally planned to do vocals with it, but no lyrics were coming out of the pen, so instrumental it was.

Had I planned vocals, I'd have rendered the unmastered instrumental, recorded and processed the vocals in Cubasis 3 where I have access to Brusfri (cleans the bg noise) and Waves Tune RT (tunes my admittedly super out-of-practice sour singing voice, lol), and imported the vocals back into FLSM.

Definitely give FLSM another looksee. It still seems the most underrated app on iOS given its lack of AUv3 hosting, but the effects and instruments already in FLSM are robust enough. :) And if you need, say, world instruments or better-sounding orchestra samples, sampling oneshots from Beathawk, Module Pro, and Iconica Sketch is always an option.

Cheers mate. :) Yeah, this was a fun fusion to put together.

Definitely has the dem-bow rhythm to it, but the melodies almost sound like a South American traditional music from the andes. I want to say this is FIFA reggaeton hehe, like something you'd hear at the world cup. :) Very cool.

  • I really dig that 2:40 mark into the 3 minutes there, Slim. Made me imagine chase/killing scene through a cartel owned night club in John Wick 12, or something along those lines.

Hell yeah! 😎 That was my favorite part to work on!
