Very cool. Love the vox. This might be my favorite. Love this one
Possibly one of the most Experimental piece I've heard from you, friend. I also love how sparse the arrangement is, with plenty of thought given to negative space. Did you use Koala for this one?
Thank you so very much!🙂
Good ears! The little vox and perc snips are indeed Koala.
The tonal elements are my old favorite MoodUnits Big Softy piano being mangled by the GSDSP MagicPitch.
Thanks the comment!🙂
Nice work! I'll have to dig into MoodUnits more to be honest, whether I play it back live or sample it in live into Koala for a live frippertronics performance. ❤️
@rottencat
You recommend the mood unit?
I keep forgetting to check them out. The pianos sound lovely mangled!
As you probably know, MoodUnits is a suite of instruments. Some of them are more useful to me than others.
But the one that keeps calling me back is the Big Softy patch in the Mellopiano group. It’s one of my two favorite pianos on iOS.
(The other is the Endless Piano in Outgrowth)
It’s cheap, easy to use, it supports the great Rob Jackson and it sounds like a dream.
So, yeah, I recommend it.
(I also recommend the GSDSP MagicBlur and MagicPitch but I bet you’re hip to those already.)
To me, MoodUnits is one of the great unsung iOS apps.
Rob Jackson rules!🙂
Absolutely!
@rottencat okay, Over is my favorite now. Good job!
Dang, you’re quick! I didn’t even post it on the forum yet!
Your enthusiasm is most gratifying, amigo.🙂
i have notifications for all the cool stuff
Reminds me of the more experimental side of Art of Noise. Sometimes all you need is what you described - some noises that go well together.
Definitely going to listen to this one a few times.
Thanks @michael_m!🙂
