'Going Home' another new blues recording in collab with pbelgium

GOING HOME

https://hearthis.at/frenq/going-home/

pbelgium begins, letting bright melodic runs spill into the room, little sparks skipping across the groove as Madrid slowly exhales into morning. The band leans in — drums playing softly, bass warming the floorboards, organ glowing like first light.

Then frenq rises with his EWI, answering those guitar phrases with a feather‑light jazzy trumpet solo, drifting and circling, a gentle counterweight to the blues fire still hanging in the air. pbelgium breaks away for a moment, releasing a blazing blues solo that cuts through the dim café like a sudden memory. frenq catches the echo, sending back light a jazzy run, the two voices spiraling upward toward an ending that feels like a window opening.

And the old man in the corner?

He lifts his head.
The music has reached him.
His thoughts loosen, his chest softens, and for the first time in a long while, he feels the world returning to him.

Madrid wakes.
And so does he, but what do you think of the music?

  • Sounds great. This one has a nice club feel to it. You two should do more stuff together. You're a perfect fit.

Thanks @wagtunes for the nice comment. I appreciate that you still take the time to listen to my music. After this, there will be a few more songs with @pbelgium who is a very good guitarist. Due to circumstances here, those are taking a while. But I am very happy with such a collaboration. Cheers, frenq

  • Nice! Reminds me of Blues I'd hear when going out on a Saturday night to a small upscale local venue serving cocktails. <3

  • Hi Jim, thanks for listening and you comment. frenq <3

  • Thanks once again @Frenq, sounds great! So glad you doubled up on the guitar riff - you have good ears, even caught that b9 trill. Cheers.

  • @pbelgium, thanks for your message Paul, I enjoyed your guitar playing again, my musical hearing is still fine , unfortunately with the overall hearing it's another matter. Until next time, frenq

  • Another great track by the two you, really enjoyed the main theme played in unison.

  • Those tracks will take a little longer. But again, thank you very much for listening, frenq <3
