A list of your apps with links, or at least a link to your dev page, would be useful.
Here’s your chance to get BA-1 for £19.99 again 😀👍😍
Just go to the App Store and search for "Baby Audio"?
I'd just search Baby Audio on the Appstore. Not too tough, mate, and you can see all their amazong apps. I'm planning to finally grab Tekno on Thursday.

Looks fun.
Yeah, we can always search things. But if you’re a dev trying to advertise your stuff, it’s a good idea to link it. That’s why everyone else links apps in posts.
@BabyAudio I just tried out Warp on an audio file in AUM and it’s having some weird behavior. Skipping forward and back, looping parts.
Right, but Baby Audio is a big enough developer for people to easily find them in the Appstore, mate. All good.
Perhaps that's what Warp was meant to do? 😅 Not gonna lie, I need to have a play with Warp myself.
i started with atoms, cause i like physical modeling and mpe
i digged it alot so i got crystalline and loved the awesome interface and sound
then i got ba-1 and comeback kid, who sound great. the cs01 was one of my first synths and again the easy wysiwyg interfaces are great for jamming
now im asking myself if i should just get super vhs or get taip + the free pitch drift & magic switch
i think the latter combo would cover everything i dig about the vibe of super vhs and would give me a wider range of dynamics
of course i could get them all, but im trying to keep my setup organised
thanks for reading, lol
Get Pitch Drift, Magic Switch, Taip and SuperVHS! These plugins are magic.
Crystalline is my default reverb. So cool to be able to set a delay time on the reverb start. I’ve got to need a specific sound to use any other verb.
BA-1 is a top 5 synth for me. All the controls on one screen is fantastic.
I’ve never even opened Humanoid - that was an impulse buy when it was on sale and I was on a vocoder kick.
I don’t have TAIP, IHNY-2, Super VHS, or Tekno. I was born in the 90s so my nostalgia doesn’t quite involve warbled tapes or 80s sounds like these siren focused on. I’ve been tempted by VHS and TAIP though.
got Pitch Drift, Magic Switch and Taip
It’s as good as they say - very nice.
That battery drain slider does seem pretty rad, like a “synth sag”. Tempting…
I slept on Atoms when it first came out now i cant put it down
I hear you! I love the ambient sounds that come with Atoms. So much movement and massive world-building. It also uses a lot of DSP, so I tend to record some long loops with it then close it off to save power for other effects.
Any end date on the sale?
Sorry to kill the mood, but I’m not very excited about Baby Audio. I bought BA-1 a year ago and I don’t use it because I find it quite difficult to use—the labels are really small, the sliders too, and I don’t understand why the speaker takes up so much space. The arpeggiator was a bit buggy, and the synth remains quite limited.
I also bought Transit 2, but it causes a lot of latency on my tracks, so I can’t use it live.
Finally, I do think Magic Switch is very pleasant, and it’s free.
No mood killing detected at all, just reasonable criticism
I also think the BA-1 interface could be a bit more touch friendly, which could be done by making the speaker and screen smaller
Transit I don't have, as im not interested in that. I don't buy anything with influencers named on the interface. But thats my personal problem
Yeah, Magic Switch sounds nice. I love me a good chorus but this one I can even throw on weird stuff and make it sound better. I'm also really happy with Crystalline. If you need a tip
Atoms also sounds great to me, but I wish I would have more control over the sound. But then it sounds good already
I just wish it had the Polyphonic Microtuning via Pitch bend MPE feature. So I could throw my own tunings at it with Entonal studio. Same goes for BA-1
The day before you go to buy something
I understand principals as I like to set them up for myself sometimes, but, when they shoot me in the foot I tend to reconsider: you're missing out on the Hainbach/Audiothing (Octaves, Arguments and Noises to mention a few) and/or Haq/Brambos (SolderBox) Haq/Kai Aras (Agonizer)?
There's probably a few more.
Now, Transit2 is probably BA's best release but that's my opinion.
I'm sorry, I couldn't keep quiet but I was just wondering.
I don't think any of these people, including Andrew Huang, are influencers. Being a Youtube personality isn't the same thing as being an influencer...
influencer
a person who has become well known through regular social media posts and is able to promote a product or service by recommending or using it online
Describes Hainbach and Huang quite well IMO… it's not that I don't watch their videos from time to time, but I'm not interested in their music for example
But I also wouldn't buy the Aphex Twin Bass Station version, even though I dig his music a lot. Not trying to hate on anyone here
I'm very happy and successful with what I use right now. And there are more than enough tools around
I shouldn't have mentioned that, as I don't want to crash the Baby Audio thread and I'm not really interested in a discussion about it. Sorry for placing the bug
Just one more example that might explain it better: I think the pocket operators are pretty powerful little devices, but they appear too much like little gaming devices. And I don't want to be reminded of quirky little video games, when making music, or AFX, or Hainbach, or Huang
I like to think that I create my own realm, when making electronic music. Making music is easier than ever, so I need my brainpower for my own decision making. This might not make sense to you, but to me it does
Getting tools from Baby Audio is already a big leap for me, honestly. But it's fun. And fun is important. Fun and focus is sweet
Cheers and happy music making
+1 Transit 2 is an excellent plugin full of creative possibilites, which is what I bought it for, regardless of the famous name thing.
In my experience it’s only the pitch shift modules that create latency.
I don’t love a good chorus (not a fan of the effect) but I love Magic Switch. It doesn’t tend to make me feel seasick like some choruses
Atoms does have poly aftertouch which helps control the sound a bit more, had fun with a cme Xkeys 25 which works surprisingly well as a cheap poly aftertouch midi keyboard.
It’s useless for many at the moment for playing ‘live’ due to the as yet unfixed glitch/hap when switching between presets.
nice to hear that you found a chorus that doesnt make you seasick
i just got a novation launchkey mini 37 with poly aftertouch and will try. pretty neat little keyboard - not the best poduction quality but the ableton integration, arp and chord builder are pretty awesome
