VAPolysynth Developer
Does anyone know the email address for the developer RYO TOGAWA who created all the VAPoly synths?
I have sent in numerous bug reports to the App Support on the App Store but that gets me nowhere, the synth in question is the VAPolyMk5 where the Portamento control does nothing until it is turned to its maximum, this then cannot be turned off and is set to maximum glide time, only by closing and relaunching the app will reset the control to zero.

More concerned with loading up a hijacked site because it has no security.
http vs. https is only about transmission security, it says nothing about the site's security - most recently hijacked webservers had presented their pages over https.
What an https server certificate can do though is let you verify whether you're connected to the original server domain, hijacked or not 😉
I don’t see any indication the site is hijacked. I get notifications from my web provider about questionable websites.

Now I’m getting old and trying to keep up but I do still disagree with this in the broader sense though. It speaks to the developer’s potential lack of security concern/knowledge across the website/webserver re patching/configuring etc. It also takes away a layer of alerting especially regarding network attacks or compromised content within the site.
Not trying to start conflict but this is a fun topic for me. So for this I would say that web providers can’t protect from zero day attacks so I prefer to simply avoid sites with obvious security issues.
@gusgranite Yes, maybe. What I meant to say is that https won't protect you from zero day attacks because the server certificate signed by a trustworthy Certificate Authority is independent from the web server software/logic, and lots of web servers with a proper https certificate out there are vulnerable to zero-day and some even to older attacks.
In other words: You never really know 😅

I have tried their YouTube channel, I typed in the Portamento issue, it told me it looks like there is a bug and I should visit the App Store and report it using App Support, this is what I have been doing right from the very beginning!
The developer has issued four new updates in the last four weeks but none if them fix the portamento issue.

Yeah ay first i noted many updates. <most didn't fix whatever lil gripe I had, oh well. never as bad as your porta,emto problem. also,some apps are are better than others.
As long as I don’t touch the Glide control then there is no problem, notes sound very sharp when not using glide though. The second big issue with all the VAPoly synths is the 1 octave bend up and down, I can use Mozaic to scale the 1 octave down to 2 semitones but that conflicts when using the app as AUv3 in Cubasis and both pitch bends are trying to operate at the same time! I have a brilliant keyboard controller called KeyStage, that allows me change the bend range to anything and still use it alongside Cubasis 👍

The VAPolyMk5 has been updated to v1.0.5 this afternoon, it has fixed the Portamento Glide control issue but it has now broken the Glissando, it causes both Ch1 & Ch2 to run out of tune with each other, also, you can’t switch back to Portamento unless you change to a different preset.
At least the developer is reading my bug reports 👍
