Does anyone else have strange behaviour with sustain pedal and Synthmaster 3 player and Synthmaster 2? Seemingly regardless of patch I have massive inconsistency with sustain pedal that I cannot figure out what is happening. Some notes are sustained while others are dropped. If I use a different software instrument this doesn't happen. As I say I'm getting this still in the 3 beta as well as in SM2
Hi. Are you maybe exceeding the number of voices assigned to a layer?
No, let's say:
I hold 5 notes.
They all play.
I press down on the sustain pedal, deliberately not in a rush before taking my fingers off the 5 notes.
A variable number of notes stay sustaining, not always the same number, it could be 1 it could be 4. Very very rarely it correctly sustains all the notes I was playing.
Repeat the process, with a different, 4 notes, 5 notes, or 6 notes. Same result.
Slow down even more to try to get a handle on whats actually happening. Can't figure it out.
Ok, a bit of digging and this is likely something in MPE. If i transmit only on channel 1 it sustains. If using MPE, despite, setting SM2 global and preset input channel to MPE, and SM3 to MPE, sustain does not work properly in MPE mode in either.
I've checked some other synths now to make sure I'm not mad, and the following all worked correctly

@Fantastic , you should report this to kv331. Sounds like a proper bug in the MPE implementation.

Thanks @Bulent. I appreciate this process greatly. A bug-squashed Synthmaster 3, which is a mastersynth in scope/functionality/engine types, is an amazing prospect.

Yeah me too! But before diving into the full editable SynthMaster 3 iPad version, I will release SynthMaster 3.5 on the desktop first with enhanced UI/UIX features. The biggest caveat for SynthMaster 3 right now (according to most users who critisized us so far) is the mod matrix is always on the screen and users want to see/edit more modules on the screen. So, as a solution, I am introducing multiple view types for modules and modulation sources (minimized, narrow, default, maximized)
I am hoping to finish SynthMaster 3.5 in June, and then I will allocate 100% of my time to finishing up the iOS port.
Guys, Apple approved SynthMaster 3 Player iOS with all the IAPs except the bundles. We released it with the current prototype ui skin, but won’t officially announce until our final ui skin is completed.
I will upload v1.0.2 with the bundle iaps today.

@kv331audio_bulent if I own Synthmaster 2 on the Mac and the full Synthmaster Player 3 on the Mac, do I need to repurchase all those sounds for the iOS version (including all my add-ons packs), or will those sync and go to the iOS version? Thanks!

Once you install v1.0.2 (which will be available tomorrow hopefully), all of your desktop expansions will be downloaded by sm3 player ios. Prior to v1.0.2, that required the purchase of "Unlock Desktop" IAP, however, I am easing on that restriction for SynthMaster 3 desktop and SynthMaster 3 Player desktop users, starting in v1.0.2
So, who will still be required to purchase the "Unlock Desktop" iAP? Users who don't have any of the following products in their accounts:

What’s the difference between player and the upcoming release of the synth
There is no editing available for layer modules and modulation sources in SynthMaster 3 Player. Also, no waveform/wavetable/multisample editors.
First I have to finish our SynthMaster 3.5 update. It's an important update with major UI/UX improvements. I am hoping to finish this update in 2-3 months. Then, I will go back to SynthMaster 3 iOS development.
@kv331audio_bulent Thanks for responding..I’m definitely interested although you made me a tad nervous when you said on an earlier post that you were hoping for good numbers on SynthMaster 3 or else you might consider closing shop altogether..I hope I got that right ..If it’s true, I get it actually…Competition is brutal , I know..Hope you sty in business, I love synthmasters 1 and 2.
Well, it all depends on the success of SynthMaster 3 Player iOS and SynthMaster 3 iOS in 2026. I hope that they get enough popularity so that we can stay in business...
I have the Synthmaster One Player but I never use it because I cant edit the presets, so I will most definitely look forward to the Synthmaster 3 Synth release.
I use MIDI learn extensively, but this always disappears from time to time on both SM1&2 and I have to regularly check and import the MIDI Learn parameters, it would be good if this did not happen with SM3 synth, I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

FYI, SynthMaster 3 Player has much more editing capabilities compared to SynthMaster Player. That's why we named it as "much more than a ROMpler synth"
You can edit:
Layer FX,
Layer keyboard&velocity zones
Layer voice settings
Arpeggiator
Sequencer
You can even load presets into new layers as in SynthMaster 3. (that's coming in v1.0.2, hopefuly tonight)
I remember testing MIDI Learn (global) extensively with SM3 Player, so I can confirm that it is fixed.

Just downloaded SM3 1.0.2 on iPadOS 26.4.2, iPad Air 5 M1.
I got the Everything SM3 Bundle, to complement my bundles for SM2 and One. The last two load and show, but I can still only see the factory SM3 presets in the browser. The SM3 expansion packs download but won’t show in my browser. As of this writing, my preset count is 7647. I tried downloading individual SM3 expansions as well, same thing, they don’t show in the browser. Restarts of both app and iPad done.
I’m kinda lost here, what am I doing wrong?
