AU EngineCore by Antonio Sorin TASU (Released)
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6766300671
AU EngineCore app effectively transforms any compatible multi-channel audio interface into a fully configurable digital mixer for live performance.
Unlike traditional digital mixers, AU EngineCore offers a software-defined mixing environment, giving users complete control over routing, processing, and signal flow without hardware limitations.
A key advantage is the ability to use studio-grade AUv3 plugins directly in live scenarios, enabling advanced processing and creative flexibility that typically requires dedicated studio setups.
Built for precision, speed, reliability and real-time performance, AU EngineCore delivers ultra-low latency audio processing, flexible routing, and a clean, distraction-free interface.
Key Features
• Ultra-low latency audio engine for real-time performance
• Advanced multi-bus routing with flexible signal flow
• AU plugin support (inserts on channels, buses, and master)
• Designed to work seamlessly with most multi-input audio interfaces
• Stable performance even in complex live setups
• Clean, classic interface optimized for fast operation
• Real-time processing with no interruptions or audio artifacts in Live Mode
• Multi-channel input and output support
• Built for musicians, performers, and sound engineers
Built for Live
AU EngineCore is engineered to handle demanding live scenarios where stability and speed matter most.
Every part of the engine is optimized to ensure smooth operation, even under heavy load.

I already plug my Scarlett 18i8 into the battle-tested, flexible and rock solid AUM and get all these features
So like AUM ?
Oh c'mon... AUM has been out for over 10 years now!
I mean it looks like a decent piece of work, Claude assisted or otherwise, so bravo to the dev, but maybe not quite the game-changer being advertised here.
Even Google AI is aware of AUM...
AUM exist but if this is multi-threaded… 🤔
@Jumpercollins - great minds...
Fun story. I remember when AUM came out, and I was chatting online with Chris Carlson, developer of Borderlands Granular, and I said something like hey, there's this new app and everyone's going nuts about it - it's called AUM. We should check it out!
We both downloaded it and starting playing around and I remember Chris said something like, oh man... this is amazing - this changes everything
That would be good, but a quick look at the screenshots of the ui is enough for me to say that I don't think I'll be cheating on AUM with this. AUM is just a once-in-a-generation class act.
The only thing that would work for me is that it is Mac compatible. AUM is not
A vibe coded AUM contender but more expensive, great!
Is it Mac compatible?
Silicon Mac, yes, affording to the AppStore description, and that is an advantage I guess, for many here. With a host, the devil is in the details. Will be curious to hear feedback from those who try this.
It states on the store page thats it for iphone and ipad also no mention of it being multi-threaded.
Wanda must be their marketing director.
(She was a tv exec who was in a 30 year coma so every new pitch she had was an idea that was at least a decade old at that point. Funny enough, that shows she’s kind of a genius tv exec.)
They really need to charge their battery.
It does state in the Compatibility dropdown on the AppStore page that it is available for Silicon Mac. No mention of multithread tho, indeed.
I stand corrected thanks
Oh also, just looking at the Compatibility makes me think this dev doesn't fully understand the scene. Expecting users to have iOS 26.2 is a pretty big ask and will exclude a lot of ppl
AUM in contrast, and very wisely, lets you run it on iOS 12
I’m seeing a lot of negativity for this app and not sure why?
I think a lot of reasons have been given already, if you look at the details in comments tbh. If you're going to bring out a tool that's very similar to something people have been using for years, but more expensive, by a dev whose only other app on the store is a music tuner, in an era where AI-assisted apps are popping up on practically a daily basis, you'd better give people a really strong incentive to choose your app instead. Having read through the manual, this does not give that incentive.
Because you can do it all with AUM.
Basically yes. I added a few more thoughts to my last post in a fresh edit btw
Pretty sure that's what Xcode 26 will default to unless you set it to something else. Most developers know this, but it's also a common gotcha to forget to change it - benefit of the doubt and all that.
As of April 28th, you have to use Xcode 26 to submit an iOS build for approval.
And Loopy Pro, Cubasis, Logic Pro, Sessions, AEM, Ape Matrix, Drambo, Garageband, BeatMaker pro, Zenbeats, etc.
What irked me, and I'm seeing this as a common trait of new vibe coded apps (*), are claims that this app somehow accomplishes things that have never been done before.
I don't think it's unreasonable to say that if you're developing an Audio Unit Mixing app, you might have at least heard of AUM...
(*) I don't know for sure, but the signs are there.
On a more positive note, I could see how on the face of it at least, that a typical FOH engineer would feel more at home with the UI in this app than AUM, so there's that.
(edited to stay on point)
Which is a good point. It looks like something FOH might use but they tend to use proper hardware mixers.
@cyberheater - yeah, there's a kinda hybrid approach that's really popular too - an iPad app controlling a hardware mixer. I've seen it in so many venues I've played but the name of the app escapes me - it's always the same app though.
edit: I think it might be Mixing Station.
Thanks @Rob_Jackson_Music
One more reason is that the UI absolutely screams vibe-coded. Compared to something like AUM or Loopy Pro, the design language seems like a half baked afterthought.
Absolutely, AUM is, for the most part, a very well and very beautifully designed app
